Since the last one is about to hit 80 pages, might as well. Here's the first thread: https://uselectionatlas.org/FORUM/index.php?topic=312152.0

Nice hit piece by CNN who are also clearly shook. Warren won't even say if taxes will go up!

Hilarious.

It's true that Warren's evasion on this issue has gotten absolutely no news coverage, good point.

Nowhere near the amount it should be getting, yes.

Especially when all she has to do is be honest and say the same thing Sanders is.

However, Warren's evasiveness is due to her being very cautious of not letting Republicans make a talking point out of it. The reason Sanders said it is because it's just who he is and doesn't care.

If the Biden or Warren campaign started something similar and pointed out how abysmal Bernie's numbers are (and were from 2016) with older voters they'd moan about it and call it an attack too even though it's a fact that he doesn't do well with them. It's a shame that they'd stoop this low, but I should've known because this isn't anything new from the Sanders campaign.

I think at worst, deploying this story is a really cynical way of juicing the women vote. It's not something I'm proud of. The Sanders campaign was just as cynically tarring Warren supporters as upper class to try to push similar buttons.

Neither campaign looks good doing this. Acting like one is better than the other here is rather ridiculous but of course most people in this thread are so bought into one candidate or another they're going to insist their candidate is faultless while the other is despicable,

100% agreed.

Eh... Biden has said equally trash things and it’s not going to make anyone back down from supporting Sanders.

This is what happens when the two leading contenders are old ass white men born before D-Day.

Exactly. I'm not sure why they're bringing something like this up as if it'll hurt his campaign. Like Biden, he has a base that's not leaving him. Harris learned this the hard way after debate 1B as time went on. Biden's voters were willing to look past that on the basis of his perceived electability, familiarity with him, etc.

Bernie's in a similar case, but for different reasons.

We're not done with Iowa, yet.
