Holy cow do you think he’ll resign?

No. Trump would never resign.

This isn't surprising at all. I'm actually amazed that it took him this long after being so careless for months.

Nope

My hunch is that tonight, Joe Biden won the Presidency of the United States.

Fully agreed. This is a disaster for his campaign.

Congratulations, Atlas Dems.

On the contrary if he plays this right he can bounce back and win big time. Didn't Boris Johnson's approvals shoot up after he survived? Even if it's a temporary bump it'll be just in time for the big day.

Boris didn't pride himself on being a COVID denying asshat.

This is will be uglier than a hypothetical 1974 where Nixon doesn't leave after Watergate.

This is correct. I see no sympathy for him in any social network. It's all observations on how he allowed this to happen due to his negligence.

Yep. We are already seeing how this is going to play out. He'll be seen as negligent and careless.

TRUMP WASN'T TESTED BEFORE THE DEBATE!!!

It's fine. They were really far away from one another at the only point that Joe was maskless.

Well I think he’ll get sympathy votes now if he’s going to the hospital. That’s the end of us in the Biden camp.

‘God-tier genetics’: A stunned MAGA world offers blame, adulation after Trump’s diagnosis

Quote
“You’ve never seen him sick. You’ve never seen him without energy,” Brenden Dilley, a self-described “MAGA life coach,” told his viewers on his radio show Friday. “[He’s] not walking around with weak-ass, p---- f------ genetics. He ain’t got those liberal genes. These are, like, god-tier genetics; top 1-percentile genetics.

Wishful thinking abounded, as well: Dr. David Samadi, a urologist and commentator for Fox News and the conservative Newsmax outlet, set the goal posts by pointing out that while Covid-19 patients over the age of 70 had a 94.6 percent recovery rate, patients ages 24 to 49 had a 99.8 percent recovery rate. “I would put POTUS in the 20-49 category due to his strength and stamina,” he tweeted.

Quote
“Does anyone else find it odd that no prominent Democrats have had the virus but the list of Republicans goes on and on?” tweeted DeAnna Lorraine, a former congressional candidate who has backed baseless theories from the QAnon conspiracy movement, going on to blast masks as a Democrat-backed lie and questioning whether China had technically made an “assassination attempt” on the first family.

Quote
...according to various QAnon theorists, Trump had left a secret message to his followers in his announcement on Twitter that he had tested positive for Covid-19. Some suggested that his use of the word “together” was, in fact, code for “to get her,” a reference to attacks on his 2016 rival, Hillary Clinton. Others thought Trump’s quarantining was part of a broader plan to isolate the president from potential violence associated with the upcoming election.

What the holy hells?

This goes two ways:

Trump dies or is in bad, bad medical shape, OR

he emerges from hospital Wednesday or Thursday, says he beat COVID and is ready to beat Biden and he pulls it out as he did four years ago.

Ah, so all he has to do is not die and he wins, according to you?

I'm a little surprised we haven't gotten a right-wing take yet of "Brave Trump risked the virus while Cowardly Biden hid from it". (I'm confident it's coming in some form within the next 24 hours.)

Effin insane! He's saying that he would continue rallies even with the virus. And he's suggesting that it was somehow brave of him to "confront" (become infected with) the virus as some sort of example to the country.

Oh hey, maybe we can turn around the campaign by staying negative and faking photo ops to make myself seem like I'm not sick!

Yep... Nobody could've ever seen through this...

Why is everyone so convinced he'll relapse?

Because there is no recorded chronic case of COVID that has a result in less than a week, even among the healthiest and youngest.

Because there is no recorded chronic case of COVID that has a result in less than a week, even among the healthiest and youngest.

But that doesn't mean his health is guaranteed to get worse again.

I already answered your question, and the post directly above is a restatement of that question.

Not sure if the right thread but I didn't see another on the matter--we have a potential major hurricane threat in less than a week, how's Trump's response to that going to go with all this going on?

Bold of you to assume that he'll have a response.

"The hurricane had almost as much air as I do."

Look at all of the people who still go to clubs and stuff packed into a dancefloor with lots of others. Of course we see that, but a lot of people, especially in America, have no regards for their neighbors. And not all of them are Trump supporters. But rhetoric like this appeals to those people, they want "positive vibes only" and don't want to be reminded of the virus.

I'm sure that an introvert, full of negative energy (that constantly worries about a Biden +20 lead being good for Trump) person like yourself, certainly has his finger on the pulse on what extroverted, "positive vibes" young americans feel. Tell us more.

My predictions were virtually spot on for years ago while many thought Hillary was going to win North Carolina and even Texas. I don't really use math when I make my predictions but my gut feeling is usually right about this stuff.

How did midterms go for you again?

I mean, if you predict the time wrong consistently, you will be right twice a day--broken clock and all that.

He’s such an idiot.

There have been documented cases of reinfection.

The worst president in American history.
