BRANSTAD FOR PRESIDENT
Iowa Governor Terry Branstad announces run for President

  Des Moines, Iowa
"My fellow Americans, our country is at a crossroads we've lived under failed leadership of our current President, the economy not even close to recovering and Americans having less money than every before. People here in the United States are wanting change, I've been talking for some time with Iowans and other Americans, their sick and tired they aren't making any money anymore, their wages are low, they can't find better paying jobs, and there not achieving the American Dream that they've worked and lived for their entire life.

Many people ask how am I not the same old politican that we've had running and killing our country for the last 20 years, to answer that question I say, I know how you live what's hurting you. My parents were farmers from Northern Iowa we grew up living paycheck to paycheck, once I worked in my pappys country store in Leland for 8 months being payed a small 80 cents a day to buy a new pair of shoes that all my friends had. I experienced life the hard way, the way you grew up not like a rich businessman from New York or the son of a congressman. We need to bring the American Dream back if you want to succeed in life, make sure your children live a better life than you did and restore the Constitution that have kept our system of Liberty and equal opportunity than I'm your candidate, I ask to vote for Real a Change on Day One and elect me Terry Branstad as your President. Thank You and God Bless."

Romney doesn't support me, it's the best picture I could find.

Our religious liberties are being trampled on, and the current administration wrongly tolerates, nay, outright endorses, this injustice. Christian business owners are being forced to partake in gay weddings against their will. Christians at home and abroad are being harassed, attacked, or worse, merely because they are Christian, yet there is no outcry over this. We have even seen government officials, such as the Mayor of Houston, demand to monitor and censor pastors' sermons simply because they preach what is in the Bible, solely because they preach what is in their faith! A country where a Christian cannot freely practice his or her beliefs without persecution is not a free country. have had enough of this injustice. As a Christian, I love my fellow person, even if I do not agree with them politically or religiously. And I know that y'all here today are tired of being persecuted over your faith too. Speech Excerpt: "It is because of our men and women in the military that we can continue to celebrate Independence Day. I know that serving this country is not an easy task, and I thank God every day that our troops continue to take their trials and tribulations in stride. Our troops fight to keep us free, but sadly, they are not being treated correctly in America today. Soldiers, both active military and veterans, face countless issues that are being ignored by the federal government...

... Not only are active military personnel being mistreated, but so are our veterans. VA Centers across this entire nation have been gutted on funding, and they are not equipped with the tools needed to properly care for our veterans. How can we continue to mistreat the men and women who gave everything for America? Once I am President, I will remedy this immediately. In fact, I promise that my Secretary of Veterans Affairs MUST be a veteran him or herself!"

(Haslam will appeal to Deal for his endorsement, citing common ground as Governors. Haslam will also discuss job growth and education policies with Deal, as he believes the two can find similarities and work together on them.)

He shouldn't be able to get Marsha Blackburn or any Real life people on his staff.

(OOC: I thought we had to use real life people? I will use fictional people if the game moderator establishes that as a rule.)
You can use real life if you are a actually candidate ie: Cruz, Bush but not if you're like us, I'm fine with Poe but Blackburn is a real life CONGRESSWOMAN not an activist and that endorsement should be sought. And here in the last game was his rule when I tried to do the same thing
  "UPDATE REGARDING CAMPAIGN STAFF
In response to the conflict between CC and SSWR: As I said earlier, the timeline unfortunately has to disregard any claims to real campaign staff by the candidates in order to keep things fair (you can't pick your own endorsements whenever you feel like it Tongue). However, you are allowed to create, announce, and make stories regarding fictional campaign staff. Please do not get into unnecessarily disputes; this matter has already been decided and we're all friends here at the 2016 Presidential Election Interactive Timeline! Cheesy"

Terry Branstad's Comments over Ted Cruzs Planned Parenthood Comments

Reporter: Governor Branstad, Senator Cruz said earlier today that your failure to defund planned parenthood even though you campaigned on it, says that your another politican putting politics over people.

Branstad: "I have one thing for Senator Cruz, has he ever tried to get a budget passed through a democratic legislature. The answer is no, he's never lead on the statewide level just in the senate on his high horse. Let me answer his question I have tried 3 times in every budget I've put forth. But I haven't been able to do that beacuse of democrats. When Cruz says I put politics over people I say how did I win with over 55% of the vote in a democratic state last year. When he only got 58% in a Republican State. If I put politics over people than Senator Cruz puts Israelis over Americans. Enough is enough that's a lie what he is saying."

Des Moines, Iowa

"My friends today I must announce to you that I've been diagnosed with Stage 4 penial cancer and Stage 2 Brain Cancer. I must sadly say that the doctors have told me that I have about January of 2017 to live with that saying I'm dropping out of the presidential race. I have not decided who to make my endorsement of yet. I'm sad to say this but may God Bless You and may he bless America.

To Recieve my endorsement you have to work hard in Iowa and meet with me in person and lay out your views on abortion, common core and the UN.

I'm really sorry Dar but I don't have time anymore since school started.

Roemer for President Ads

1. Sick and Tired Social Media: Nationwide
"Like this page and donate here if you're sick and tired of DC gridlock, special interests, and a government that's too damn big!"

2. Values Radio: Iowa, SC
"Buddy Roemer lives out the same values that everyday Americans swear by. Hard work, determination, resilience, and a passion for helping others. Through his time in congress and as governor of Louisiana, Buddy Roemer became accustomed to fighting for the American taxpayer, be it against ridiculous earmarks, amnesty, wall street, or gun control. Vote for your Buddy, vote Roemer."

3. Big Brother Radio: Nevada, New Hampshire
"Reading our emails, watching our every move, censoring our internet. The big government/big business axis keeps getting more intrusive, which is why I support American privacy rights and an end to crony capitalism. Business and the government have teamed up, and I'm here to keep them both under control! Vote for your Buddy, vote Roemer.

4. Unfair TV: New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine, Michigan, Ohio
"I look around and see shuttered factories, closing family farms, and a broken immigration system. This is happening because both parties let it be. Nobody stood up and stopped irresponsible trade deals. Nobody stepped up for the family farmers when DC unloaded even more regulations onto them. Nobody fought for the small businesses when Obamacare passed. It's time for a change of course. I believe in fair trade that protects American jobs and borders. I pledge to renegotiate NAFTA if elected president. I believe in simplifying the tax code to be more business friendly and fairer. I believe in a better future, which is why I ask you to stand with me!

5. Life TV: Iowa, South Carolina
"Everybody else says they're pro-life, but let's have a look at their record. Yes, most of the others are anti-abortion, just like Buddy Roemer. However, it soon becomes clear that the GOP field by and large isn't pro life. Most of the field supports foreign entanglements that lead to thousands of deaths. Most of them support the death penalty too. Buddy Roemer stands against the anti-life trifecta, abortion, war, and the death penalty. Vote life, vote for a Buddy.
Not to be rude viva but how will Marilindia Garcia who I've met and Matt Schultz who is Ted Cruzs Iowa chairman who both are in the tea party endorse a LIBERAL REPUBLICAN.

Terry Branstad announcing his future in politics to a crowd of Iowans

"My fellows Iowans, my friends and lovers. A few months ago I announced that I have two types of cancer that will kill me before the mid of 2017, and I sadly had to drop out. But, it doesn't mean I won't be active in politics and I'm considering many things. I announce today that after 4 months of weekly chemotherapy I now longer have the brain cancer and I've been downgraded to Stage 3 penile cancer. With that saying I'm launching a super pac for the most conservative candidates across the country.
So far I have endorsed
State Senator Kelli Ward for Arizona Senate
Senator Chuck Grassley for Iowa Senate
Congressman Marlin Stutzman for Indiana Senate
Neurosurgeon Ben Carson for Maryland 6th Congressional District
Businesswoman Ivanka Trump for New York Senate and
Congressman Rod Blum for Congress
I will be announcing more endorsements including my Presidential one in the coming weeks and months.
Thanks for coming out and God Bless."

Joe Biden "Ready" to Run Fifty-State General Campaign
[/b][/u]

A Biden aide who requested anonymity has released information. According to the aide, Biden is 'prepared and ready to run heavily throughout the South'.

Using such states as Virginia and Iowa and New Mexico as launching points, the aide claimed Biden's campaign had put together the following map:

With 108 EVs being rated as Tilt GOP, the Biden map would suggest the possibility of pushing down the GOP to 137 EVs. This author suggests it as a possibility, particularly with potential game changers and keynote speakers as Gavin Newsom, Claire McCaskill, Howard Dean, and similar possibilities.

It is only likely if Biden's southern strategy is successful in the primary. Working off the base he would have in any of the green states he won in the primaries, he would need to convince most independents and even a good part of Republicans to attain that map.

- Politico, Jan. 9, 2016

ME - 2 is Lean D while SC is toss-up? Biden needs better polling.
I think Biden has some crappy polling agency there's now way Ohio is likely Biden and South Carolina and Alaska are tossups
