Well at least JA is dropping the charade about not liking Trump. If only Taibbi and Greenwald followed through as well

Actually, if the Republican survived I'm pretty sure s/he would vote to acquit.

"It was my fault for getting in the way of his bullet."

We joke, but the Harry Whittington incident was just 14 years ago.

Democrats should offer to let Hunter Biden testify if Republicans will let Stormy Daniels testify, as well as Sherrill Redmon (Mitch McConnell's ex-wife).

That is, of course, if we want to turn this whole thing into a farce where we pull in politically-expedient witnesses who have zero relevant testimony to offer.

What is McConnell trying to hide? We're just asking questions and trying to get to the bottom of things.

Yes, that's what the fact check says, but it's the Republican feelings check that matters here.

I am still trying to figure out what the crime is with which he is charged.

Maybe there are some with the mindset, "meh, let them have witnesses. They'll stop blabbing about it and I'll still vote to acquit in the end."

Trump should be impeached if he did NOT want to investigate this shady stuff (obvious corruption if you ask me)!

Then HE SHOULD DO IT LEGALLY.

Pardon the shout, but you have evidently not heard this the first 10 times that I and others have said it.

Erm, it was done legally. No one is debating legality Jesus Christ.

"Done legally" would've been pursuing the issue within the DOJ,  not pressuring a foreign leader to make a public announcement by withholding aid money.

Not to mention completely circumventing the US's legal attache in Ukraine by asking Zelensky to work directly with his personal lawyer.

Pointless, though.

Even if the manuscript says Trump is a Russian asset, it doesn’t make it necessarily true.

Who cares what this manuscript says lol

Exactly. We need the Senate to call Bolton to testify under oath.

I have to say, it makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside to know that, while Trump apologists spend hours writing effort posts and diatribes against impeachment on an internet message board, I get to go to work every day to actually try to make a real impact on policy.

Also Rand Paul named the alleged whistleblower in his Twitter feed today. Goodbye whistleblower protection act
What ever happened to the good Paul name?
Give it a couple more years of Trump apologism and he'll become Rand Saul.

Do we know how Arizona Senator Kyrsten Sinema will vote on this?

She's not up until 2024 and won her seat in an anti-Trump wave. I'd be astounded if she voted to acquit.
