I hope Harris and Warren don’t destroy each other trying to become the anti-Biden choice.

Oh, they won't. The most EW might do is possibly bring up Kamala's tough on crime past as a prosecuter, but that's only if they're the clear front-runners. And if that happens, KH might bring up Elizabeth's DNA, but only when talking about the importance of understanding the nuisances of race identity.

Right now they still need to eviscerate Biden & Bernie (and to a lesser extent, Buttigieg), and that hasn't happened yet (prob not til at least Oct).
They genuinely have a lot of respect for each other. From what I've heard behind the scenes, it's not like they're best friends in the Senate (Harris is much closer to Cortez-Masto, and Warren is close to Tammy Baldwin), but they recognize that each other would make a phenomenal president that they would be happy to serve for in some capacity.

Cue the "they respect each other professionally, therefore there is no difference between them  politically or personally and Warren is a cop and Harris is a fake indian black" takes.

Fmr. PA Gov Ed Rendell: "I like Elizabeth Warren. Too bad she’s a hypocrite."

https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/i-like-elizabeth-warren-too-bad-shes-a-hypocrite/2019/09/11/409d5ed0-d4d3-11e9-86ac-0f250cc91758_story.html

OUCH!

Biden was always going to win Pennsylvania's primary, but Rendell's support just bolts it down.

Does anyone care that much about what an Ex-Governor think?

I hadn't watched Hardball recently, but Chris Matthews used to be a pretty big Ed Rendell fanboy. Maybe this will lead to more Warren criticism on his show?

Warren is now at 19.8% on the RCP average. Her all-time high and the highest of any non-Biden candidate since April.

Every candidate's ability to craft policy is directly proportional to how many seats they have in the Senate. If Warren has 61 Senate seats to work with, we'll get universal healthcare. If Bernie has 47 Senate seats to work with, we won't. Anybody pretending it's all down to how hard they push for it or what words they use to describe their ideology has no memory of the entire Obama presidency.

Anyone claiming that Obama was a progressive leader has no memory of the entire Obama presidency.

I never said he was. But he ran on universal healthcare, and wasn't able to get it done even with a Senate supermajority. I'm sure Bernie is different, though, and can do it even with a 50-50 Senate. Wink

She is such an obvious stooge that she might actually do exactly that.

It's really impossible for you to imagine that there might be genuine opposition to the political beliefs you hold, isn't it? Everyone I don't like is an agent of Putin

I'd like to believe that there are no human beings that genuinely oppose my position that a leader who gases his own people is scum and a war criminal and wouldn't touch him with hazmat gloves.

No one is arguing that point. That is not the topic. Everyone who attacks the candidates you like is immediately a "Putin stooge".

Not to be a nag, but I think the topic is "Elizabeth Warren 2020 campaign."

It seems she was just relaying her family's oral history. I also wonder why her family's passed down history doesn't match her ancestry family/tree. Was somebody lying or adopted? Was somebody in her family a so called $5 Indian?

I also think it's of minimal importance to her presidential run from what we know so far.

I think stuff like this is more common than her critics imagine, and I would guess most Americans don't know their ancestry beyond at most their great-grandparents with certainty.

My family actually had a vaguely similar situation to Warren's: My dad's cousin did a geneology project for our family. One of my great-great-grandparents was born on an Indian Reservation in the mid-to-late 19th century and had no clear records before his adulthood. He was even referred to in some sources as "Injun." Turns out, however, he was not actually Native American, which we only found out for certain after my dad and cousin took ancestry DNA tests. Our best guess knowing this is that he was part of a Mormon group that might have integrated into local Native groups to avoid harassment following the Mormon Wars. We really don't know for sure. None of us ever claimed to be Native on a form or anything, but it's not like our family was just blatantly lying to us either.

They could have made up any story they wanted and this was the one they picked? The fact that the story is obviously contrived aside, these lunatics still don't understand consent. They still think #MeToo was just some anti-sex movement and that all you need to do to discredit a Democrat is to say that they had sex. This will serve the sole effect of improving Warren numbers among subs and guys with mommy issues.

The fact that she's a kinky dominatrix makes her my number 1 choice!

Total fraud. Supported Trump's 700B$ military budget & gave him  the tools to commit war crimes & kill children in Yemen.

And if she had come out against the protests, you'd say she supports Hezbollah. We get it.
