The better comparison would be if Lyndon LaRouche occasionally won.
Lyndon LaRouche isn't nearly as charismatic or proficient in incentive as either Thompson or Galloway.

Objectively an exceptionally talented man who is very, very good at elections.

Slight correction/refinement - he is very good at *by*elections.

Anyway, totally obvious HP. Since we are making comparisons - one British one that struck me some time ago is Horatio Bottomley. It is true that GG's career hasn't ended in similar disgrace - yet.
