Now that he's pulled another by-election rabbit out of the hat.

HP, but an entertaining one.
My brain conjures William Hale Thompson comparisons.

The better comparison would be if Lyndon LaRouche occasionally won.

Lyndon LaRouche isn't nearly as charismatic or proficient in incentive as either Thompson or Galloway.

Needs to embrace Zionism in his soul. (In some ways, the thing where he appeals to hyper-specific immigrant communities is a step in this direction, but the principle should be universalized.) For now, HP.

As I've said before, he is a personification of all the evil things Jeremy Corbyn was falsely accused of.

Titanium HP. Called Saddam Hussein's pedophile son a "hero" and said he would be with him "until the end".

Not exactly an "HP", but his foreign policy views are too far out there.

Objectively an exceptionally talented man who is very, very good at elections.

Slight correction/refinement - he is very good at *by*elections.

Anyway, totally obvious HP. Since we are making comparisons - one British one that struck me some time ago is Horatio Bottomley. It is true that GG's career hasn't ended in similar disgrace - yet.

Well, yes. I suppose it would be better to say he’s very, very good at campaigning. Though this time, with a general election imminent, I do think his chances of sticking around aren’t bad.

There was effectively no Labour candidate, a genuine black swan event.

Something frequently asserted since Friday, but still far from a done deal IMO.

They did, but withdrew their support after it was too late to change their candidate. Had to do with comments he made about the Gaza War.

Offensive and idiotic conspiracy theories would be a better summary than 'comments'.
