They can't. AL whites will never vote for the party that doesn't hate and intend to destroy "the others".

True, everyone knew that Jimmy Carter wanted to destroy "the others."

(Before someone throws the "Southern Whites voted for Ford!" quote out there, let's consider the portion of Southern Whites who lived in Virginia, Texas and Florida (much closer states, Ford having won VA) and that Ford won just SEVEN counties in Alabama, it's damn clear that Carter won a LOT of White voters in Alabama, most of them being rural, too, if you look at the county maps.)

Yes, a very dumb comment by a simple-minded poster.

glad to see that at least the democratic base is accepting reälity

What's so illegitimate about Trump? You can say muh popular vote all you'd like, but that doesn't change the fact that presidential elections are determined by the electoral college.

ya m8 he didn't win by either measure so i don't see what your point is

i'm sorry facts trigger you (?)

Explain exactly why you think Clinton won the Electoral College

- republicans' large-scale illegal schemes to prevent people from voting (some of which were so egregious they were struck down even after the indefensible shelby co. v. holder decision) are very well documented

- i think even the farthest-right of us can agree that at least like, two or three percent of trump voters (i.e. enough to account for the official margins) are nazis, no? (obviously it's substantially more than that but y'know) anyways nazis aren't people and therefore can't vote

Nobody likes Nazis, but in the context of American politics and the freedom of speech and expression we will never, ever take for granted in this country, this sentence belongs in this thread.  Horrible people are allowed to express their horrible opinions.

A bit late but Jesus f**k

When is the appropriate time to share my feelings? I feel as if I am in limerence. I really need to get this off my conscience.
You dont, make a physical move.

I don't see the problem here. Spark said he was going to take his crush out to dinner, and I'm pretty sure Rjjr was telling him to be himself and go in for a kiss when the date ended.

What's wrong with that?

You don't make sudden physical moves on someone after a first date. Consent matters. People don't like being randomly forced into a kiss; unwanted intimate contact is really violating.

A kiss isn't "random" if you're on a date. If you both had an awesome time on your date and feel like there's chemistry there, it's perfectly reasonable to go in for a kiss without asking. Worst case scenario he/she pulls away and refuses. I mean how exactly do you envision a kiss happening on a first date?

It's not as if he/she forcefully grabs you by the back of the head and proceeds to tongue rape your face. lol

Outside of the largely gay and/or socially inept world of Atlas, girls still expect guys to make the first move and most certainly don't consider you a violator if it doesn't work out, LMFAO.

This brings me back to the ol' undergrad days where someone else made the first move like three times. God Bless.

Nothin' better than a fine lookin' lady making the first move.

This is extremely far from the truth for most young American men. I don't doubt that there are some social circles in which what you say is the case, but it's also true that many men have poor social skills and fail to notice women who make advances, or don't like the women who actually approach them enough to pay attention to them in that way, or are extremely unattractive to women on account of appearance or behavior.

Fair, and we can only all really relay our own experiences.

Why would you get drunk off a bottle of wine?

Wine is pretty gross. Why would anyone drink it period?

Wine, like most things, is an acquired taste and super good once you're used to it.  It's actually pretty entertaining for a weekend activity to get into the different types of (red) wine.  I think white wine is gross, though.

I just like a good gin and tonic. Granted, mine aren't very good, but still, when somebody makes a good one they make a good one.

The one "cool" cocktail I've tried to like and just can't, LOL.  NOT a gin fan, but most of my buddies are big fans, and it's a very convenient "go-to," it seems.

The idea that there's anything even remotely "leftist" about modern mainstream media is hilarious.

I think most on all sides (besides, maybe, mainstream Democrats themselves and apparently that poster, LOL) would agree that the media isn't leftist; it's biased toward center-left politics.  Someone on the right would find the distinction between those two biases meaningless, though, as either are very annoying to watch constantly.

Tump can only manage to get 38-42% of the vote in most polling. He's headed for double digit loses in all these states. Clinton probably gets 56-58% in Ohio if these trends keep up.

LOL, that would be a 450+ EV landslide for Hillary. Even I'm not that optimistic. Ohio will be close like Ohio always is. Too many rural Republicans for that kind of result. 90% of the Ohio electorate is inelastic and completely locked into their party preference

FYI, I think Hillary has at least an 80% chance to sweep all the Obama 2012 swing states

At best for Trump, Ohio with be 54-43. That is assuming that he ties with college educated whites. He's simply not breaking out of the low 40s at this point, so I don't think Ohio will be that close.

I had a post deleted for calling this brain dead so I just want my 30 seconds of gloating.

Trump won 60% of college educated Whites in Ohio, LOL.

I know MasterJedi is quite #edgy and deplorable in general, but still...

I've written here before about the crisis that would follow single payer if the federal adopted reimbursement rates similar to existing health insurance programs. You're looking at a total depopulation of rural areas, huge paycuts and layoffs in the industry, and a growing call for nationalization. Nationalization is another problem entirely, but probably the end goal of most in the know about single payer.

Well you sold me with "total depopulation of rural areas".

Jesus Christ.

Is this dude Scots-Irish, the same as Cotton?

Either that or Sanchez when he hasn't the devil's lettuce for a few hours. Is Sanchez ScotsIrish?

Typically, Scots-Irishmen are Appalachian and (predominantly Outer) Southern. It's a demographic, in my experience, which tends to refuse to take responsibility for the social disordered associated with it (opiates etc.) and can in no sense be considered a "master race".

Got real Nazi-ish real fast.

If you have to caveat the definition of the word "religious"...

It's not a "caveat," LOL.  It's the ing definition of the word.

We all speak English, we know what "religious" means. I think the fact that you chose to go out of your way to define a very mundane and unambiguous word says a lot.

I anticipated some zealots jumping all over me, so I tried to address the psychos' religious purity tests out front.  My bad.

Can we begin dropping the Ulster-Irish from helicopters yet? I do not want them in my country, and they contribute nothing but drug addiction and ugly gingers.

I'm glad I don't live in middle America where small minds proliferate.

Yep, no small minds out there in CA, a state whose stereotype to many is literally a surfer bro who's dumb as rocks.
