Was just about to ask how/when we'll be able to have a guess at the final result; iirc (it might be a false memory) the damn NYT needle had Georgia going democratic before other states.

Can we honestly just wait rather than relying on vague & pointless observations?

Is there any logic to the view that the Democrats need to have a relatively health lead as if it comes down to less than 5,000 voters there might be enough of these mythical Perdue-Biden voters?

Not this again.

Obviously stupid/annoying/dangerous but this seems rather weak & I assume we're looking at Ossoff having a relatively healthy lead?

And worth remembering it was because he thought that A.) It would benefit him B.) It would boost turn-out among 'moderate' women in the burbs. Worked well.

Both in a Georgia sense & beyond how common is it for the run-off to be won by someone who finished second?

Warnock finished 1st in the first round, not 2nd.

I know.

But Ossoff didn't & irrc both Collins+Loeffler together did better than Warnock

I'm surprised that we haven't seen much coverage of the fact that Loeffler (and Perdue to an extent) ran so far to the right & kept up talking about marxism, cuba & Weinstein; obviously Trump was a huge factor in the drag & changes that we saw but they both ran as if they were running in a state that hadn't just voted for Joe Biden.

I guess we won't be having someone more conservative than Attila the Hun in the senate after all.😞

There seems to be around 20,000 Perdue-Warnock voters. I knew there would be some, but thats a lot more than I thought. Why is that? Just didn't like a women? Or are they Lincoln Republicans who can't stand Leoffler
Loeffler is a robot. MAGA wing of the GOP didn't like her for insider trading scandal. She was also unelected, so the incumbency advantage would have been weaker. She seemed to receive more bad press than Perdue.

Incidentally, so there was a Twitter post from someone recently commenting on how Kelly loffler has reportedly been complaining per year that the Georgia Republican party is too conservative. Heck, she donated a few grand Hillary's one in 2008. She may have been a closet Suburban wine mom type of moderate Republican but went all in on trumpism because, well, it's 2020 she wanted to keep her job by sucking up to the big Orange guy

Yeah it hasn't really discussed how awful of a politician she is; watch her 30 second clip when she was on stage at the Trump rally and it was clear that she was just going through a script.
