Pelosi if Democrats win the House, Scalise if Republicans hold the House.

Scalise says he won't run against McCarthy, and McCarthy would presumably run, so....

McCarthy didn't have the support to be elected Speaker last time, so what makes anyone think this time would be any different?

Simple: He's close to Trump, and Trump is now president.
