McCarthy didn't have the support to be elected Speaker last time, so what makes anyone think this time would be any different?

A speaker requires a majority of the house to vote for them to be elected speaker. If Pelosi couldn't win a majority, another Democrat would become speaker.

I really really want Cheri Bustos to become speaker. Not only is she a breath of fresh air, but she's a doorway for the Democrats to the rural vote. Sadly, I think her destiny is set in the Senate.
