It’s blasphemous for Americans to conceive of their government as a covenant between themselves and God? Was it blasphemous for the Israelites to do the same? This guy is a hack!

The covenants between Jehovah God and Israel in the Old Testament are different than the Covenant between Jesus and Believers in the New Testament.

Do you worship a living God or a dead God? Was your God the God of Abraham, or is your God the God of Abraham?

My God is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.  The people who lived in Old Testament times did not have the full revelation of God that we have obtained through Christ.

Dispentionalism is a heresy. None of the Classical Conservative Protestant denominations or scripture for that matter teach that there is a distinct difference between the covenant of the old testament and the covenant of the new testament.

It's this level of thinking that leads Evangelical Fundamentalists to embrace Israel, and they don't actually care for Israel.

Tell me where martin Luther taught dispentionalism ? Or John Calvin ? Or Zwingli ?

*insert rant about the Establishment Clause* etc

The Establishment Clause does not prohibit people who are fervently religious from being elected to office.  Nor does it prohibit the enacting of public policy that is motivated by those beliefs.

Every public policy is motivated by something.  There are Constitutional tests for laws and policies, but saying a policy violates the Establishment Clause because its sponsors were motivated by religious faith would be effectively excluding religious people from meaningful political involvement.  "Politics" is a process that involves more than expressing your opinion; it involves the avenue for the possibility of  you to persuade others and for your beliefs to actually be reflected in law or policy as a result of the process.

When you vote for a candidate, would you vote for a candidate who (A) stood for the opposite of what you believe when (B) another candidate who believed in what you believe was also on the ballot and had a track record of advancing those positions?  If your choice is option B, pray tell me why Christians should not do the same?

There is a third choice here, which is to not vote at all. Politics is a power game. It’s inherently sinful, encourages idolatry, and politicians who take up the mantle of advancing Christian ideas often create false religions that inadvertently misconstrue the word of God. You say that Trump selling bibles could introduce people to God, but making Trump the face of Christian America could just as easily repel people (such those who don’t agree with Trump on policy/and or find his behavior repulsive), thereby making a path to salvation more difficult for those people.

Changing laws can only do so much to change people’s behavior. The only real way to accomplish that  is by changing hearts. I don’t know a single person whose life has been changed by a government program, but I can name dozens who’ve been changed by a gentle offer to attend church. This is, of course, just my perspective, and I enjoyed reading yours.

Changing laws can undo the stability of an entire nation, depending on the law.

Yes. The primary purpose of the Establishment Clause is to prevent the state from shaping religion. It's not preventing religion from shaping the state. Freedom of religious practice is entrenched in our constitution.

I always love it when fake christians justify their dedication to all things sinful by saying that it's making the nation a better place. Find me one verse in the New Testament that encourages Christians to prioritize the state of the world over God. Evangelical worship of Trump (a man who will soon die and burn in hell for all eternity himself) has turned countless millions of people away from the God of the Bible, and these so-called "christians" don't even care. Millions of people burning in hell for all eternity, with no attempt at outreach or witnessing, all so that you can get a conservative Supreme Court to abolish the EPA and take our Miranda rights away. Pathetic. You people might not be the ones who'd have hammered the nails into Jesus Christ's limbs, but you would definitely be the ones heckling him and spitting on him as he carried the cross.
