So depressed over my Steelers getting eliminated by the Browns. They lost 48-37 to the Browns, mostly due to offensive miscues. From a 11-0 start to this? This ought to piss off every Steelers fan out there.

That could be very well be Big Ben's last game.

I'm now ready to predict that the Cleveland Browns will win the Super Bowl.

This would be the most 2020 result possible (even though it's now 2021)

You got it all wrong. The Cincinnati Bengals are the overwhelming favorites.

I'm pretty sure the Bengals didn't make the playoffs.

Nice Try.

That was sarcasm.
I'm poking fun at the Bengals' consistently terrible performance.

So this is what it feels like to have a professional football team in the local area that is a winner. It feels really nice. I might enjoy being a Browns fan.

Pittsburgh could never be an easy opponent, but even their superstar offensive couldn't handle our huge first quarter. The last pick was a cherry on top. Big Ben has energy but is aging. Our QB is effective and we have a more well rounded team.

I knew many Steelers fans in my region of Northeast Ohio, especially to the east in Portage County. I may not be a hardcore football fan, having rarely watched regular season games, but I never rooted for the Steelers in real life. Hopefully the Browns regain dominance west of the state line.

So after starting 11-0, the Steelers lost 5 of their last 6 games (including tonight's playoff game)

Big Ben is getting old.

Lol the Steelers are pure trash. I've never really been a fan.

What a strange attitude to have. They have been the the team that always beats us for most of my, and probably our, life. I suppose you're not a serious football fan.

I have been watching NFL football this weekend. I usually don't bother with it outside the annual superbowl, and only if I like the matchup of the latter. Here are the games I watched:

1. Buffalo defeated Indy: Good game, glad Buffalo won as they are similar to the Browns in their troubled past and city buried by snow.

2. Los Angeles defeated Seattle: My friends are Seahawks fans but when I watched this game I saw that the Seahawks didn't deserve to win. They seemed dysfunctional and angry. I knew the Rams would win and they did. I felt like a sage watching my predictions come true.

3. New Orleans defeated Chicago: this game sucked

4. Cleveland defeated Pukesburg: YES. See further thoughts above. This isn't a video game, the Browns are an actually kinda good team. I was happy enough that they made it in the first place, when I went out and bought a cookie cake in their honor.

Did I say they were always trash? Obviously not.

I am allowed to dislike them.

WILD CARD ROUND RESULTS

olawakandi, Politics Fan, and TexasGurl tied for first at 5-1 (each of them had a different wrong pick, interestingly).  Full results:

5 olawakandi, Politics Fan, TexasGurl
4 dfw, Donerail, ExtremeRepublican, fluffypanther19, GeorgiaModerate, Grumpy, Illiniwek
3 CaptainThunder, Ishan, JGibson, Lechasseur, nclib, NY Express
2 S019

Bills-Colts was the only unanimous pick (not counting people who were late and didn't get in a pick for it).  Bucs-Washington was the only game with a lone dissenter.

This didn't change the overall race, as the main contenders all had the same score (4).  Year to date (262 games - only regular players listed):

177 dfw
176 ExtremeRepublican, Grumpy
173 Donerail, TexasGurl
172 nclib
171 GeorgiaModerate, Politics Fan, S019
170 Jgibson

There are gonna be upsets, like with Steelers v Browns, there aren't any fans in the stands, but Packers and Saints and Bills are weak links due to Ravens, Rams and Bucs upstarts

Everyone underestimate Sean Mcveigh, he is Rams coach that took his team to Superbowl in 2018 and lost due to Kupp. He is only 34 and coached under John Gruden😆😆😆

It's gonna be Bucs v Rams and Chiefs v Ravens in the championship games and the best teams advance to Superbowl and what can be a Rams title

Rams can beat the Packers, the Pckers have no defense and the Rams rather see the Bucs and Packers than going against the Saints, trust me, Packers will lose to Rams😆😆😆

Relatively easy week to pick, I'd be shocked if any home teams other than the Bills and maybe Green Bay lost, I expect KC to win easily and the Saints have easily beat Tampa in the two games they played this year.

It's gonna be tough for any NFC E team to ever win a title again, at least Peterson has that 1 ring in 2017

I feel like Doug Pederson was kind of an unfair scapegoat for the issues the Eagles had this season, but it's clear that the Eagles had to do something, given the obvious internal turmoil in the organization.

I imagine that Doug Pederson will get another job, but, even if he doesn't, he has made a major mark on football strategy by normalizing more aggressive decisions on 4th down and 2 point attempts.  The rest of the NFL started to catch onto the analytical value of more aggressive playcalling after it was a huge part of the Eagles' Super Bowl run a few years ago.

You must have looked into that witch's cauldron and saw something most of us didn't.  Well done, TG, well done.
