Wow, that's awesome. The new chair is 25 years old. I wonder what the record for youngest state party chair is? Best of luck to the new NCDP leadership.

And Robinson is dominating the primary polls so far it seems, which is brutal for Republicans.

For all the crap that online lefties often get I'd argue that it's actually the online right-wing social media warriors who have benefited Democrats electorally than vice versa.

Yeah I would actually encourage the right to get more online and start running candidates who are terminally online, seems to be working out really well for Democrats.

So funny how in that tweet he further demagogues in that tweet and demonizes the left regularly and then he's like "I'm not a fascist!!!! I'm not!!!!"

Well, Josh Stein officially has a primary. I still think Stein wins the nomination rather easily, but Morgan is a noteworthy challenger

The use of the Law and Order font is unsubtle and has to be intentional.

DAMMIT i was going to make the same point!!!!

Did AIPAC campaign against the genuinely anti Semitic Mark Robinson?

Of course not, he's pro Israel.

He's also genuinely anti Semitic.

Sorry, I'm not clear about your position--on a scale of sincere to insincere and also anti-Semitic to pro-Semitic, how would you describe Mark Robinson?

Yeah I agree with the sentiment that Stein is favored, but I'm not so sure about comparisons to PA-Gov '22. PA is far more familiar with voting Dem in recent elections and while I think Robinson is a uniquely bad candidate and Stein is about as good as it gets for NC, I don't think we're going to see a blowout here. Stein will (hopefully) win by 3-4, but it's going to be too close for comfort for a while.

The comparison to PA-GOV is just a general one, not a numerical one. The point being "A+ Dem AG candidate who is well liked vs. disaster Republican candidate"

That's fair enough, it is quite a remarkable parallel. Governor Josh S supremacy 🤝

Some of you may not know who the father of Democratic lieutenant-gubernatorial nominee Rachel Hunt is. I hope that these links will prove to be a useful study aid in these regards.
Ah yes, could've-been-President Jim Hunt. (Googles to make sure he's still alive) Could-still-be-President Jim Hunt.

Rachel Hunt/Jason Carter?

They won't be old enough to be President for several more decades.

It's almost like Robinson is a plant and tries to lose with his outlandish statements.

In a pre-Trump world, I would agree. But unfortunately, people like him are all too serious and are becoming increasingly common.

True but they rarely win elections outside of safe territory unless they fly under the radar like Robinson did in 2020.

Their base naturally gravitates towards them, so it's easy for crazy birds to flock with similarly crazy birds. I agree Robinson is uniquely positioned to lose this race, but it's quite concerning that we can't write him off whole cloth. He ought to be taken seriously lest Democrats get complacent and choke the race away.
