Lol I live in Northwestern Italy. They are both at 300 km from my home. I was on holiday in San Marino at 5 years old before I even knew what Formula 1 was. Not to mention that I have always been a geography geek. I liked atlases even in kindergarten.

Are you from Genova? Rapallo? Parma? The cities I found in the map which could fit these distances

I previously knew that both of them existed.  Specifically, San Marino is supposed to be the world's smallest country, or at least among the world's smallest.  It apparently encompasses part of Rome.
