I might, but I can't say for sure.  I would much rather live in a wealthy or middle-class black neighborhood than a poor one.

I'm absolutely shocked! How come?
Not because of race.  It's just that I really don't like crime.  And urban clothes, weird names, and "gangsta rap" really don't make blacks look that good anyway.

Oh, well if that's the case. That makes you look very tolerant, as the Northern Yankee Republican you are.

Horrible entertainment, and horrible thread.

So how do you get it off?  Looking at men's clothing catalogs?

I can't believe people in this thread are defending drunk driving.

Yeah it is weird when you run into different opinions.  Can you deal with it?

Indeed, is there anything in the world more in opposition to freedom?

Strident anticlericalism has historically come close from time to time.

but people should have a bit more compassion.

Yes, Thatcher's lack of compassion was an awful thing. Led directly to the wrecking of countless lives.

It was the day people would give their servants presents in brown boxes.

So did you get your servants anything interesting?

Regarding the debt ceiling.

Not exactly Don Draper material, but it's simple, relatable, and effective. A fruit basket and a card to whoever coined this talking point.

Instead he'll have the debate with the next Congress which starts in a little under 35 hours.

I get him and Cathcon mixed up quite a bit, but both are massive FF's in my opinion.  I don't agree with everything he says, but I don't agree with everything anyone says, but he's a great young man and is an important and (should be) valued member of this forum.

You are the last person on earth that should talk about valued posting.

And without right to work laws you are forced to join a union whether you want to or not, does that not violate libertarian principles?

No, because no one is forced to work for a particular employer so no they aren't forced to join a union if an employer agrees to having a closed shop.  You're exhibiting the sort of workplace entitlement I'd expect from a progressive rather than a libertarian.  No employee has any inherent natural rights to his current job.  Any that he has comes from either a contract he has entered into or those provided by government action.

Burning Oldies isn't much of an accomplishment but...

don't usually read books from cover to cover.

I wish I could say I was surprised.

Uh, let's not forget that this is the same Frank Lautenberg that gained entry to the U.S. Senate (the first time around) by attacking his Republican opponent for being too old...and she was "only" in her 70s!

This is also the same Frank Lautenberg who fought the Nazis...

I wouldn't go that far concerning Mitch McConnell and the Senate minority.

Got to give credit where it's due on this one:

Things should settle back down pretty quickly.  March 1 is just another day on the calendar now.

Wrong. Napoli vs. Juventus.

More important than that, though, March 1 is the eve of my son's 9th birthday.  Felix will be 9 years old on March 2.  (14:00 3/1/2013 in Utah).

Yes... a pathological liar with no self-discipline who is dependent on his parents for money yet still takes time off willy-nilly is exactly the type of person who should adopt children.  I'm sorry, Jeff, but that would be borderline child abuse.

The SEC is horribly overrated, especially Alabama

Your grasp of college football is apparently just as strong as your grasp of history.

From the perspective of other white men I'm sure he's a great guy and since that's almost universally the case here FFs will have the day.The lack of empathy for people who aren't white men is a bit disconcerting though.

I am not a big fan of misogyny and racism though, even if it is all beneficial to me.
Please let me reassure you that your race and sex have done nothing to improve my opinion of you.

The United Methodist Church uses liturgical colors, BRTD.

And the one I linked to has their own app available for iPhones and Androids.

Which is, of course, a more important indicator.

I think you're missing the point. I just don't like you in general (mostly you're a whiner). I'm sure that if you weren't a brrrroenee I would have found something else to point and laugh at.

Have a nice day!

FTR, regarding my answer, I like both countries.   Personally, I have a little Pennsylvania Dutch ancestry, so that helps Germany (as does Merkel), but my answer remains the same.  Toss-up.

So NJ voted for McClellan in 1864 and you just have to mention that... but you have nothing to say about Germany.  I was sure there was something... can't put my finger on it.
