Hey...don't mock the love for the past. We may very well soon have a President of the future 2010's who was a grown man when Elvis first hit the stage in the 1950's.

Naso, what the hell does that have to do with anything?

Keep to yourself, Mr. Stevie Wonder.

There's a difference between having feeling fondness for the past and being inexorably stuck in the past to the point that the present day frightens you.

Hey, I resemble that remark!

(Goes back to listening to Handel)

You resemble or resent it?

...

I would send Naso back just so he can see how crappy it was compared to now.  That decade was a transition period from peace and love and liberalism and family and faith to a more... be cool, look good, act tough, make money.

Be Cool = PLUS
Look good = PLUS
Act Tough = PLUS...I don't need to act, btw
Make Money = PLUS

Send me back, Doc! October 12, 1955...err....1985.

You were born in 1986...how the hell would you know? Maybe you have faint memories of 1989...but in general...we have to all admit...with great regret...we grew up (barf) during the 1990's.

It's not all the 80s I love...by 1985 things began to decline. But right at the end of the 70's, about 1978 to about 1983...things were really good.

Now, let me also state...I believe that the time period between 1998 and 2001 had fantastic music...and that slackened off by 2002.
