It was a transition period; meaning all those pluses currently exist in our time, but were in a transition that began in the 80s.

It's not all the 80s I love...by 1985 things began to decline. But right at the end of the 70's, about 1978 to about 1983...things were really good.

Now, let me also state...I believe that the time period between 1998 and 2001 had fantastic music...and that slackened off by 2002.
