FTR, I don't intend on being a member here. I just felt like putting that little thing up.

Great Smiley. So guys, are you okay with the above platform?  (ex. Do you think we should be ambiguous about abortion?, etc.)
The caucus should be neutral on abortion, but I am pro Life. Sorry it took me so long to respond.

I think we should take a Center-Right position on Abortion, basically leaving it at "it should be legal, but we don't support the idea of it and we don't believe it should be federally funded."

     I support this plank.

Usually it's best to take a neutral position on certain issues if not everyone agrees to something.  Again, just some friendly advice.

Or you could have a vote on the issue in question. We in the "Right to Life Caucus" did that when it came to the issue of the death penalty (and a few other critical issues) and it seems to have worked. No one has come out protesting about the result.

It's a phrase that's quite popular for it's usage among Libertarians--it was coined by Milton Friedman IIRC.

The running dogs of the federal establishment require that all Liberty Caucus members be RPP, unfortunately. If you want, you can apply to be an honorary member. Smiley

You could always rewrite your bylaws to circumvent that like the Right-to-Life Caucus did.

How would I do that?  Just change the rules myself?

I guess you could technically do that (if you don't have any bylaws at all right now), but consent of the people is always a good idea.

Alright let's put it to a vote; all members, should we allow in non-RPP people to help broaden the Big Tent?
