Not to be pushy, but For those of you in the northeast I'd be much obliged if you vote for the Government Responsiblity Act of 2012.  For those of you who aren't in the NE, please introduce similar bills to your respective legislatures to get big government out of our hair.  Here's a link:

I'm running for the NE Senate seat up for special election tomorrow; I realize I am entering late and don't expect to win, but I don't want an unopposed candidate.  I would appreciate your support.

If/when the RPP dissolves, would the new Liberty Party be amenable to merging with the remnant of the Populares?  I'll suggest the name "Popular Liberty Party" (PLP).

I don't mind doing so, but I would like to change an established party from the inside, and even better, a party that will be in the works, though we can decide on that when we hear more.  I hope we can bring all remaining populares under our big tent, maybe theyll even help us stack the deck against the more establishment RPPers

No, there's only like 5 left last I checked.  If Im wrong or right, then I'd hope we could all merge into a party with the current RPP

You have 5, we have 7.  And "merging with the current RPP" somewhat defeats the purpose of dissolution, no?

I.e. we get the RPP to join forces with us, as we infiltrate their new party!  Some Connie Mack-esque RPPers who wouldn't break forces will still be in there, giving us more influence then as our own party.  As of now there are 7 in another party, and if you guys join with us a certain neocon element will be diluted

Neoconservatism just isn't a serious threat in Atlasia. What vestiges of neoconservatism do exist have little to do with the electoral agenda of any group.

Since there are quite many libertarians or libertarian-minded people in Atlasia, I guess it would be a smart move to form a more or less pure libertarian party based on this caucus or merge it with the existing Populares Party, as wormyguy suggested. After all, you would be the only libertarian political movement in Atlasia (from what I've seen the "Liberal Party" is not going to be libertarian), which could make you a major player in the game.

Just my two cents - but don't worry, I'm not going to join Tongue

Just so this doesn't sneak up on us later, there are some of us from the RPP that don't care much for the Populares (or maybe it's just me).  I wouldn't want the cloud that follows them around to hover over this new thing we have here.

I formed the IFP with the intent of it being a more Libertarian/Neoliberal party...Tongue However, I would like to see members of all sides of the spectrum join the party.

I can't speak for their views but the POP members remaining have a sort of residual respect among Northeasterners. Other non-Liberal libertarians are ineffective.
