The Liberty Caucus was founded by Joseph Hughes, candidate for Northeast Assembly, in order to promote libertarian ideals and philosophy in order to advance the cause of liberty.  The first order of business is to find a second member....

Our platform:
We are fiscally conservative, in favor of indexing spending to inflation, (and preferably keeping it below that), we are for gay rights, and we take no position on abortion; pro-life and pro-choice libertarians are both welcome to join and equally respected.  We believe that the RPP needs a libertarian facelift, and that liberty is a single unit, composed of civil liberties and economic freedoms, and that both are essential.  Now we will vote on the new symbol:

I'm in favor.  Any opposition?  No?  Okay.

Just a friendly suggestion: it's better to wait for a certain number of members to join your caucus before you start working on things like logos, platforms, etc.  In fact, I believe caucuses have to have a certain number of members before they're officially recognized.

Also I'd choose something other than a government statue for your symbol.

Good luck with your caucus! It doesn't make a lot of sense for me to join this caucus because I'm no libertarian on social issues, but there are enough RPPers who could subscribe to the platform you've outlined. The RPP is composed of many libertarian-minded guys.

Great Smiley. So guys, are you okay with the above platform?  (ex. Do you think we should be ambiguous about abortion?, etc.)

I stand on aborted fetuses, but I have no opinion on abortion.  I think we should keep it open to both groups though.

I take the James Buchanan position on abortion: It's murder but I don't see how we can stop it in a way that isn't too far reaching or results in a slippery slope.

If that makes any sense.
