Whallon hates Trump. What if Trump ends up being unpopular and the GOP shifts away from that? I thought Whallon would do somewhat better than this because he's NeverTrump. Trump still won my neighborhood, West Garden Grove, which has a large working-class white population. Trump got over 50% in every West Garden Grove precinct. Vietnamese-Americans tend to vote GOP. Central Garden Grove and Stanton helped Lowenthal (I forgot that Stanton and central Garden Grove were in CA-47, not CA-46). Could an anti-Trump pro-choice pro-gay marriage moderate/liberal Republican type like me do better with Hispanics, Asian-Americans, and social liberals?

I imagine that Assemblywoman Jacqui Irwin would run in CA-26 if Julia Brownley retired.

In the PA-05 I imagine that Senate Majority Leader Jake Corman could run for Congressman Glenn Thompson's seat. This has Centre and Erie counties as the main populations. Thompson is from Centre, it would be safe to say that it would likely be a Centre county candidate who would make it out of the GOP Primary in this Safe R seat.

Possible GOP Candidates:
Senate Majority Leader Jake Corman
State Representative Kathy Rapp (Warren County)
Centre County Commissioner Steve Dershem

Al Lawson just got elected this year, so I don't think it'll open up for a good while. When it does, I'd think the obvious contender is Andrew Gillum but he butchered the hurricane response and really missed his one big shot at higher office last year when he sat out the election.

Hard for me to handicap MS-03, but if Gregg Harper didn't seek reelection in 2018 I think that Joel Bomgar, Melanie Sojourner and Cory Wilson would be names thrown around on GOP side.  Absolutely no bench for Democrats though.
