I posted details about the Quinnipiac poll in the general chaos thread; here they are again:

Quinnipiac (monthly), Jan. 7-10, 1239 RV

Approve 33 (-11)
Disapprove 60 (+9)

Strongly approve 26 (-10)
Strongly disapprove 54 (+7)

This is almost the worst showing ever for Trump in this poll; he was at 33/61 in July 2017.

The net change of 20 points since last month is extraordinary.  I don't recall ever seeing a shift that large.

60% think Trump is undermining democracy; 34% think he is protecting it.

53% think Trump should resign; 43% don't.

52% think Trump should be removed; 45% don't.

45% think Trump is mentally stable; 48% don't.

34% of the country approves of the insurrection and killing cops.

Biden offered me a ticket to the Inauguration if I donated but I politely turned it down

It's good that you did. Your presence there would only make the occasion an even bigger target for right wing extremists. Biden, Harris, Pelosi, Schumer, the former Presidents, and Olawakandi all in one place!? There isn't enough security in the world for that!
If any of those extremists came to Olawakandi, he will pull out his AUTHORITARIAN Nut maps and demand a reopening of the saloons . Would be over for them.

As King of the blog, isn't OC entitled to Secret Service protection?

Even if Biden has high approval ratings well into this spring, it is still too early. In Spring 2009, Obama had sky high approvals, Democrats had actually picked up a bunch of House seats in special elections. Republicans were bracing for a third straight beatdown in 2010.

It ended up being a Republican tsunami, the average American has the attention span of a peanut. 1.5 years is a absolute eternity in politics.

The Miami Cubans or whatever don’t want any aid because it’s communism or whatever.

Just wait until the angry Miami Cubans get their $1400 Biden bucks, there will be parades in his honor even larger then when Fidel Castro died.

NY - Siena College
March 8-12
805 registered voters
MoE: 4.1%

Excellent 28%
Good 26%
Fair 18%
Poor 23%

I still prefer a favorability poll to one like this that has an ambiguous response and only one unambiguously-derogatory but two laudatory categories.

Biden’s favorability is 64/30 (+34)

Poughkeepsie Joe.

Wait until the Fall when Unemployment has to renewed, he is getting ready to spend 3T on an infrastructure bill, that isn't needed right now and 700K people just filed for Unemployment

Where is the blue ribbon Commission on Jan 6yh Pelosi you promised us we have heard nothing, what happened to Trump being Prosecuted we have heard nothing

The Election is 500 days, I am not saying that D's won't win, there is small chance that a rosey map is not inevitable

Getting a big infrastructure bill is a fantastic way to boost the economy and put people back to work in high paying good jobs. Trump had 4 years to get it done on infrastructure, and failed.

IBD/TIPP (monthly), March 31-April 3, 1436 adults

Approve 53 (nc)
Disapprove 33 (+3)

Incredible numbers from the GOLD STANDARD national poll.

Uncle Joe needs to start a big Amtrak train tour across America to tell the country that loves him that he need a Congress who can work with him, not against him.

Biden has a higher disapproval than Obama, Bush, and Clinton so far. Not a great sign for re-election as of now. But the country is more polarized now more than ever.

40% of the country is in the MAGA death cult, so Biden is going to suffer from early polarization.

NPR/Marist, April 7-13, 1266 adults including 1066 RV (1-month change)

Adults:

Approve 53 (+4)
Disapprove 39 (-3)

Strongly approve 25 (+1)
Strongly disapprove 29 (-1)

RV:

Approve 52 (+4)
Disapprove 41 (-2)

Strongly approve 26 (+1)
Strongly disapprove 31 (nc)

So he’s still probably moderately popular rather than controversial or very popular.

Biden is the exact opposite of Trump. Trump was moderately unpopular, but his approval was never in the ditch like Nixon or George W. Bush in his second term.

In the 2012 election, you had Tea Partiers leaving the Republican party out of disgust and identifying as independents , but they still voted Republican. People were panicking about Obama losing independents, but the party ID ended up being D+6.

The same thing is happening now with the MAGAs identifying as independents, which just means Democrats party ID edge is going to increase while they lose ground with independents.

Kamala Harris for President in 2024 or 2028 is not going to end well. She is loathed in the Rust Belt just as much as Hillary was.

Redfield & Wilton, May 8-9, 1500 RV (change from late March)

Approve 52 (-1)
Disapprove 36 (+1)

Strongly approve 27 (-1)
Strongly disapprove 25 (-1)

Other approval ratings (no priors):

Kamala Harris: 49/36 (strongly 25/28)
Mitch McConnell: 25/42 (strongly 9/26)
Nancy Pelosi: 38/41 (strongly 18/33)
Chuck Schumer: 30/34 (strongly 14/23)
Kevin McCarthy: 26/31 (strongly 10/21)

Generic Congressional ballot: D 44, R 37

Trump went down to -20 in approval after Charlottesville, I wonder if Biden will ever hit +20 in the polling averages. Biden is the exact opposite of Trump so far.

Washington State: PPP, May 25-26, 992 LV

Approve 54
Disapprove 41

By region:

King County 70/23
North Puget Sound 54/42
South Sound 40/55
Olympic Peninsula & SW Washington 55/40
East & Central Washington 41/57

Seems like an outlier, imho. Biden should be stronger in this state.

That is a poll that would make sense if Biden were down 10 points nationally. Biden is up 13 nationally. That poll is a big outlier.

It is impossible to "redistrict" someone out of responsibility for backing overt crime such as the Capitol Putsch. There could be some otherwise-unlikely D gains that offset any possible redistricting. Republicans still heavily support Donald Trump, enough to ensure that his acolytes win nominations, but that will not be enough in the general election in anything close to even races.
Here I'll post 60% approvals again, to paraphrase OC.

Too good to be true, at least until I see corroboration.

It seems that for every poll that has Biden +20 you have another poll having him +7. It's best to look at the averages and Biden is probably at +13.
