The only advantage in knowledge that the vast majority of potential responders have to you is having read wikipedia articles. You can quickly make up this possible gap by going there yourself, reading about the desired subject, and applying that to your other thoughts. I sure as Hell ain't gonna consult wikipedia again after doing it like three years ago on this exact topic.

so we once had normal people as mods?  now all we have are self righteous asses.

You misplaced this.  It belongs in the deluge for implying that Bushie is normal.

I consider 0°C to be "pretty damn cold out", but that's just me. Tongue

My scale:

-10°C (14°F) Pretty damn cold
-5°C (23°F) Damn cold
0°C (32°F) Pretty cold
5°C (41°F) Cold
10°C (50°F) Pretty cool
15°C (59°F) Cool
20°C (68°F) Pretty
25°C (77°F) Warm
30°C (86°F) Pretty warm
35°C (95°F) Hot
40°C (104°F) Pretty hot
45°C (113°F) Damn hot
50°C (122°F) Pretty damn hot

35°C (95°F) Hot
40°C (104°F) Pretty hot
45°C (113°F) Damn hot
50°C (122°F) Pretty damn hot

Absurd scale.

-30°C (-22°F) Absolutely cold
-25°C (-13°F) Pretty damn cold
-20°C (-4°F) Pretty cold
-15°C (5°F) Cold
-10°C (14°F) Somewhat cold
-5°C (23°F) Mildly cold
0°C (32°F) Pretty cool
5°C (41°F) Cool
10°C (50°F) Fairly Nice
15°C (59°F) Nice
20°C (68°F) Ideal
25°C (77°F) Warm
30°C (86°F) Hot
35°C (95°F) Pretty hot
40°C (104°F) Insanely hot
45°C (113°F) Hotter than I've ever experienced
50°C (122°F) So hot I'm never going anywhere that gets to this.

Don't be so hard on yourself. I wouldn't call your scale absurd.  It probably makes perfect sense for Minnesota.  But for the temperatures I experience here in South Carolina, there is no real need to go as low as you did.  Maybe as low as -20°C (-4°F) since that is the record low for where I live, set way back on Feb. 14, 1899.  But since I wasn't around then, I feel no need to include that rarity in my personal scale.

If you have problems with, as you say, "teenagers on an internet forum", then this isn't the right place for you.

Shua was commenting on a flame war which has now been deleted.

There should be a Godwin's law for Atlas. Except the analogies would be misogynistic instead of related to Hitler.

Inks' real problem is that he bothers to engage with his critics and often does so in public. I suspect that most of the controversy surrounding his tenure would quickly fade if he ignored them.

A truth that is generally applicable beyond what it was directly referring to,

I've been helping out as a stage hand for a school play and am thinking of asking my friend who is in it to prom. But I know better than to ask for advice about that sorta thing on this forum, so I'm gonna wing it Tongue.

Rohrabacher was going crazy in his speech. He sounded like a maniac.

He didn't say anything that isn't true.

Well it doesn't change the fact he sounded crazed. This is atrocious legislation.
If you can come up with one argument based on logic and sound reason why people should be punished for producing HEMP, then I will eat my hat.

It encourages disrespect for the laws and authority.
To the contrary, silly prohibitionist laws encourage disrespect for law and authority.

Anyone who thinks Family Guy is funny is by definition a HP.

Can't you at least appreciate the show's progressive message?

I never realized stolen jokes, annoying cartoon laughter, and piss-poor writing were staples of the progressive movement.

Actually, I though he accused us of seeing him as "less than normal society."  I see him mainly as an attention whore, which around here is normal society.

Of course, he does take whoring to the next level.  With most folks it's just "By the way, I'm gay, please take a moment to respond to my gay poll" or "hey guys, I'm taking time off the forum because I'm suicidally depressed, please discuss with maps" or "hey guys, I got a lap dance from a stripper who goes to my hipster church; has this every happened to any of you?" rather than a detailed description of every meal and every interpersonal interaction each and every day.

neither one even has a website. In other words they had absolutely NOTHING going for them aside from the party name.

That sounds like the most honest campaign of the cycle.

Yes, despite its numerous defects, this country has proven in the past to be able to change and achieve historical progresses.
Now I'm just waiting for the dream becoming a reality. Sad

"Waiting" is not your best option available.

Being pro-life doesn't have much to do with women's rights. I know that statement goes against today's popular politicking, and you can put it in the deluge if you want, but it's what I believe.

Please stop spamming.
