This. What would be more interesting is how the Democrats will go ahead like this. I'm saying that perhaps a loss due to poor turnout will make the Dems see that they should look for a more upmarket, socially progressive fiscally center-right base (perhaps a "nanny state" libertarianism, where high speed toll roads, private space exploration and  more market based approaches to infrastructure, research and inequality take center stage)....and with increase support for pot, gays, guns and a 50/50 chance that Roe will be overruled(will make the abortion debate a whole lot easier for pro-choicers), that sort of message will really resonate.

I hope to God that doesn't happen. The revival of the New Deal Coalition is the only path to a truly left-wing party.
