They had it in for them when they tried to exercise a 2,000-year-old claim.

You mean when the UN partitioned them?  I mean seriously, enough about the 2,000 year old claim.

Explain to me how establishing a Jewish state in Palestine of all places was a practical idea?

It wasn't, but the Allies though that something had to be done.

I guess I'll answer the question to how I voted: if I had to choose, I'd say Judaism and the territory.

They need to keep their Judaism, an undivided Jerusalem, and remain democratic.

Which is of course impossible. Judaism and democracy will quickly become incompatible as the Arab population overtakes the Jewish one.

you know, back in the 60s it was forecast that the Arab population would overtake the Jewish population by 1990. The Jewish population has kept growing in part due to immigration, but it's also useful to remember that the most fertile groups in Israel (even more so than Arabs) are ultra-Orthodox and Ethiopian Jews, and that the desired family size for Jews and Arabs is about the same.

I went with option 2 because Israel will have to give up Gaza and the West Bank, and probably Galilee later on, at some point.

So you're an authoritarian. Figures.

They had it in for them when they tried to exercise a 2,000-year-old claim.

You have openly said in the past that Israel is legitimate because God gave you that land (which interestingly is basically the basis of Hamas' claim.)

They need to keep their Judaism, an undivided Jerusalem, and remain democratic.

All three are impossible without forcibly removing non-Jews.

But that would be an anti-Democratic move.
