For those of you who were not here last night here is a recap:

NYT live polled and showed the results of five of some of the most critical highly competitive tossup seats:

IL 6th

IL 12th

CA 48th

KY 6th

MN 8th

And the results for all five were all rather unsurprising

Phillips is starting to get a lead and doing well with moderates and undecideds, not a large lead, not a large sampling, but slightly out of the range of statistical insignificance which is notable at least in my book.

I think Miller will lead once this poll is finished and I also now think she will win the election. Probably by mid to high single digits. Though I wouldn’t mind a surprise.

Right, good call, wouldn't want anyone to not take Bagel Projections seriously.

My only call I’ve been wrong on a projection is Adam Jarchow so, you can usully count on me since I only make calls in mostly all captain obvious scenarios.

Could people stop overreacting? Not enough voters polled yet.

They are being annoyingly sarcastic

No, he's Asian.

So was Hussein the black man (saying this as sarcasm) but he did significantly better than Hillary.

I know. I said Hillary 2008 would do better than 2016 in West Virginia

Duh, she would have beaten McCain in WV if she was the nominee.

It would still be an absolutely glorious day if Manchin wins, Ojeda winning is like the cherry on top.

My mother says that she is disgusted by Ojeda's gun policy and said she would either abstain or support Miller. Hopefully his district sees it differently though.

In what way? He is pretty moderate, and probably right leaning, on gun issues.
I have to agree with BD2020 here, he is moderate on gun issues. It even says that on the little blurb about him on the NYT poll. If there was anything to get angry at Ojeda for, guns doesnt seem like the strongest issue.

She is VERY sensitive on guns, and this was enough for her:

Fine, he's no NRA stooge, but he is no moderate on guns either. Maybe when factored in with all the crazies he is though, idk... either way it was too much for my mom, and frankly even too much for me as I am ultra liberal on that issue. Difference is, I still support him and want him to win, and I hope the people of WV 3rd look more favorably on Ojeda for this so he can win.

wait, so is your mom anti-gun and thats why she's voting for Miller, or is she pro-gun and doesnt think Ojeda is pro-gun?

If its the former, then I would like to point out that Ojeda would do more to reform guns than the Republican stooge Miller would.
And if its the latter, then I would refer that she look at the rest of Ojeda and Miller, and make a choice based on what she finds.

Very anti gun. She said she would consider supporting Miller (financially she does not live in the district) even though she is more pro gun to spite the dems and teach them a lesson about nominating people that are too pro gun. But when I told her just how much of an NRA stooge Carol is, she said in that case she would probably just abstain.

Does she think Miller would be any better on gun policy?

No, she does not, she said she would consider doing that to punish dems for nominating people like Ojeda, but when I told her just how bad Miller really was, she just said nvm I'd abstain.
