I'm not sure I understand the point of these threads. It seems plainly obvious that if the Democrats were currently closer to having a majority, that they would have a better shot at getting a majority in the next election lol

49 is closer to 50 than 47.

This. And Beto ran a great campaign. Maybe he should have tried again this year, when we're probably headed for a Biden landslide in November. Unfortunately, Beto wasted his time with a presidential run that went nowhere.

Nelson was the only loss from 2018 that could have been avoided by running a better campaign.
