If anything makes me confident of this district for the Democrats, it is this video, put out by Tedisco's own campaign:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z7u9bH0ZTGE&feature=channel_page

This isn't live, you're able to like, do a retake where Tedisco isn't obviously monotonously reading cue cards right behind the camera for a 50 something second clip.

Not that I'm confident, but just, the lack of personality is astounding

Ya, amazingly lame. The guy's pic is next to the word "political hack" in the dictionary. What does he stand for?  Well voting money into his pathetic little economic dump of a district is what he stands for. He's a waste of space really.

Murphy is more than fine with that.  The more attention that Sundwall gets...

Do you think the inarticulate and seemingly hapless Tedisco is ducking the debate for that reason?  It is quite a cf really. Why does the GOP have so many dummies in it who run for office?

No, he's ducking it for another reason.  But Murphy will enjoy being on the evening news with he Libertarian candidate to steal votes from his opponent.

What is the other reason - the "official" one?  Color me skeptical.

I haven't seen him be particularly articulate, but I've just seen a couple youtube videos.

You are just so gentle Lunar. I enjoy twisting the knife myself for the pleasure of it all. Smiley

So what did Tedisco do (or Murphy do) to make this race go haywire?

I think Tedisco was just being himself - dull, inarticulate, and ham handed.

How did a creature as pathetic as Tedisco get as far as he did in politics I wonder?  Is the area a black hole for political talent or something?

Does that mean you're supporting Murphy, Torie? Smiley

I don't know enough about Murphy, or what the guys said, to make a judgment. But I am in a bad mood about my party, and have this impulse to punish it when it puts up nebbishes. The party apparently may need to stay in detention for a considerable period in order to move father along in its rehabilitation.

The GOP might also begin to ponder with considerably more intensity than it is doing now sources of replacement funding if the secular rich and upper middle class decide to cut off the money spigot even more than they are now.

It used to be white collars (GOP leaning) voted early, and blue collars later after work (they get off work earlier than white collars). That probably isn't so generally true now, but it may still be somewhat true in this economically stagnant and fossilized region of the country.

Does it even make sense to challenge an election before a recount is requested and performed?

I suspect the document is ersatz myself. It makes zero sense. It is not as if the election will be certified tomorrow or the next day is it?

All in but the absentees, recount and lawsuits:

Murphy 77,344   (50.02%)
Tedesco 77,279 (49.98%)

Murphy +65

Yes, that must be it for now. Hopefully the absentee ballots will favor Murphy, but it's not a done deal.

There can't be more than 200 overseas military voters ...

Why are the absentees expected to favor Murphy?

If there are enough provisional ballots, that is the inside straight for Murphy I would think. Those puppies tend to have a substantial Dem bias, no?

Hopefully this count will drag on for months with multiple lawsuits. Maybe we can get a Bush v. Gore redux or something. I mean, this site is starved for elections, and we need to make this one last!

Did the Dems just steal another election Lunar?  Tongue

You know, I used to post on a site, where a popular opinion was that the Dems were a criminal conspiracy.  Smiley

That is it baby. I was the house "liberal" on the site (hard as that may be to believe), and the only poster (with any half life longer than a few days before being banned) who endorsed legalized gay marriage. Smiley

I was finally effectively driven off for supporting Rudy "the abortionist" Giuliani. Remember him?

Wow, Tedisco is just obnoxious.

I do like how Murphy's lead is gaining just enough so that it perfectly matches my prediction on this race, though.

And Torie I could never picture you as a freeper.

I was under a satanic spell. Finally events transpired to rescue me from myself. Smiley
