It certainly had good intentions - a world replete with representative governments that respect the dignity of the individual is a noble goal. However, some nations simply have diametrically opposite values systems and can't be transformed into democratic paradises - especially not through military force. The best way to promote a freer, more democratic world is through increased trade and alliances.
