So based off our chat last night we are looking to Pretty much use the platform from Civic Union plus the three region proposal.

I think we could flesh it out more... I very much liked what Scott did with the Light Party platform.

Also the only names right now for chair and vice chair are butafly and PJ respectively. butafly, do you accept the nomination? Anyone else wish to put their hat in the ring?
Sure!

for Chair:
[  ] butafly

for Vice-Chair:
[  ] PJ

The vote is over; PJ and I have been elected unanimously.

What we still need is a platform and a logo.

some pieces to start us off with:

God, I'm nowhere near as good at this as Scott is.

Oh, and I move we vote on the endorsement of Siren, Mr. X, Njall, JCL, Oldiesfreak, Inks (for Mideast Assembly), ZuWo/Spiral (for Mideast Governor), Lumine (for Midwest Governor), windjammer (for Midwest Archduke), and GAWorth (for Midwest Althing). That seems to be all the current ones.

Once someone seconds this, we'll have a vote.

What other items do we want to have expanded? I would be willing to help draft some ideas.
Ideally, we should cover most of the topics of the old platforms. So whatever you want, for now. Smiley

I have a logo design:

If anyone else wants to submit a logo, we'll have one more day until the vote.

Good! Why don't you post the planks separately as you come up with them? I'll write up some more tomorrow as well.

GAworth, your logo submission isn't showing up. We'll start the vote on logos once that's fixed.

As for the platform... I think it would be ideal if everyone submitted at least one plank. We don't want to be a centralist party.
Here's another couple planks: (don't be shy about suggesting improvements or even counter-proposals btw, I'd like as much input from everyone as possible)

Wisdom, mostly. And general awesomeness.

Last but not least, I would like to welcome former Pacific Councillor Marnetmar to the party! Smiley

Yeah, ... I wasn't sure how to word this to account for the fact that Asians (in general) don't have the same disadvantages in this area as other minorities.

Our platform is coming along nicely! I'd still like to see planks on LGBT rights, abortion, drugs, and free-trade, among others; if GAworth doesn't mind, I'll rewrite his planks to fit the format of the others as well (already fixed some minor wording issues).

Remember, if you disagree with one of these planks, write up a counter-proposal! I'd love to see a healthy debate.

I liked the Light Party's plank on LGBT so I used it as a base and edited a bit.

In keeping with the tradition of upholding justice and equality, we fully believe that members of the LGBT community are entitled to the same rights and privileges as every other Atlasian citizen, including the ability to live loving and happy lives.  This extends beyond marriage equality as well as the movement to secure equal treatment under the law for same-sex couples and individuals. We believe the end goal should be a society where LGBT individuals are considered in the same light as everyone else.

Perfect.

Will the platform replace what is currently in intro to Atlasia?

Yeah, especially as I don't think we ever officially ratified that one.
