To reinforce the change message and to definitely boost my chances in VA.
Of course, I would have hesitated on a foreign-policy international-security guy (Sam Nunn, Richard Lugar if he were OK), but, well the GOP is so low and the economic crisis is growing.
I would also have hesitated on Ted Strickland, just to secure Ohio,
and on Jim Webb, also for VA and for military experience (but, well, quite risky...).
