OK, well, as it's not forbidden, I change my vote from Mitterrand into Messmer, as I really want to vote "for" him (and I've already been frustrated from taking part in Couve's ousting).

Next round, I'll try another one.

In a tie, Hash, you should apply your principle of older guy (older at the time when they enter a post that entitle them to be in this very fine survivor).
Or, better still, eliminate the one who has received the most votes in previous rounds.

For a long time, because of what I learnt younger, I've respected him for promoting the first research on the French atomic bomb.
But, well, he wasn't alone. The bomb would have been gained anyway.
And, what is more, he was a real failure as head of government. He wasn"t another Bidault, but he refused the Northern African independences. He was harsh in Algeria. He took part in the failed Suez adventure.
