Maybe she can use the time constructively to read some books on foreign policy so that next time when she's asked about her credentials on that level, she won't have to mention Alaska's close proximity to Russia lol

Good for her. Maybe now she'll do the right thing and resign from life, also.

Go on, Sarah. Your God is calling you; the hour is at hand.

I sincerely feel sorry for her. She wasn't a very good politician, but she seemed like a good person.

I think she resigned because everybody was laughing at her (sometimes rightfully so, and other times not), and people were flat out calling her stupid. She had become the laughing stock of the nation. I think she just got sick of it. I hate Palin the politician, but I have real sympathy for Palin the person. Nobody deserves the kind of treatment she received.

Her child with Down Syndrome was poked at too. I would resign too, if my family was being attacked like this. I'm sure it was a tough decision for her. I think, looking back, American's will have sympathy for her. I don't think people would vote against her because she quit office. I only think people would vote against her because she had only been Governor for 2.5 years.

This seems such an obvious point I'm reluctant to make it, but the attack ads write themselves. e.g.,

"Sarah Palin resigned after serving only half of a single term as Governor. What will she do in the White House?

Don't gamble on our nation's future. Vote ------"

Not only that, but the state spent $2 million responding to ethics complaints against her. Governor Palin even spent $500,000 of her own money on those too.

To me, that is extremely unfair. The schmucks who file frivolous lawsuits or complaints need to be required to pay the entire bill of the court costs. But this is America, land of the trial lawyers. Angry
