"a straw poll at the Olathe Republican Party's annual Picnic and Straw Poll Saturday at the Mahaffie Stagecoach Stop"

name  # of votes
Palin 76
Huckabee 54
Romney 52
Jindal 19
Paul 9

Jindal is doomed.  He'll never make up this crucial ground in Olathe, Kansas.

12 hours after Obama's convention speech, everyone was saying, "Obama who?" She stole all the oxygen from the Obama campaign.

Hey, I have relatives in Olathe. I wonder if they were there...
Anyways, this doesn't mean too much. Olathe is a heavy Republican area, where 60-70% of it's residents would have a social PM score of over 6.0. If anything, this poll is good for Romney, as he's barely trailing Huckabee, where probably every voter was extremely conservative.
I'm suprised there weren't more Paul fans there, so he could win it.

The population is probably more socially right wing. Not economically. Thus why Paul lost the poll.
