If you think less of these people (either family) because of a family photo you're a giant douchebag.  People are bent into odd positions by photographers.  That creepy tall guy could be a normal dude in a weird family and his mom made him comb his normally "cool" hair down and he is making a half smirk in the picture.  Might not even be his shirt.

Bottom line, some of you guys are reading way too much into these.
