No, see, Espada said he switched back because the Democrats were serious about reform, and so it's all for the best.

Ok... I have a question

Majority Leader is, after Paterson accession to the Governorship, also an Acting Lieutenant Governor, so if Paterson die, be removed from office or otherwise unable to carry out is duties Which one of these fellows would became Governor?

The President of the Senate is the Acting Lieutenant Governor (Malcolm Smith under the current proposed structure). That's different from the Majority Leader in this case (Espada is taking that role).

So if Paterson were to leave office for whatever reason then Malcolm Smith would be in charge.
