So, walter, did you always have this antipathy to the Second Amendment, or is this only a relatively recent development?  I can't imagine you held this same view toward guns back in the day when you were a supporter of Jesse Helms and George W. Bush.  Tongue

38 states already had that, so I imagine it's not this time the streets will go red with blood.

total common sense.  If some crazed drunk gets out of hand and is gonna shoot me, I want to be ready.  Remember when some nutty left winger fired shots at a church service (I think it was Youth on a Mission or some group like that)...well someone had a gun at church and took him out before he could slay more people. No difference.

The differences is liberals want the criminals to have the guns and the innocent to be unarmed.  Hitler had gun control too my friends.  Just remember that.

Funny how the liberals want to foster a environment of crime, but don't want people to be able to defend themselves.

Give us legalized drugs, legalized prostitution, gay marriages and everything else under the liberal sun.  But please don't give em guns.

I'm glad Minnesota has a common sense law that forbids guns form public places.  In fact, many places you go have big signs posted out front "The state of Minnesota forbids firearms on the premises."

i wish tennessee and the other southern states would address health care rather than worry about whether they can take their goddamned gun to church, or whether they can build a statue of moses inside the local high school.

sometimes i feel bad for my native land.

It's because guns, unlike drugs, put the lives of others in danger.  Like WalterMitty said it's amazing how obsessed many gun nuts are with their toys.

Actually, people using guns irresponsibly put the lives of others in danger.

Not restaurants where alcohol is served though, it's legal there. Props from a foreigner knowing your state's gun laws better than you do.

And I'm sure criminals are just terrified of those signs aren't they?

What common sense indeed

All it is is a sign saying "Hey, law abiding folks in this area are disarmed, have at it!"

LOL

This post almost sounds like you're mocking the law but I know you're not.

Wow. I wish PA had signs like "Pennsylvania Forbids Stealing From This Store" or "It is Illegal to Murder Someone in Pennsylvania." Our problems would just vanish.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who finds it interesting that gun control only became an issue after the Civil Rights Movement.

Hmm.. and it was mostly after the moon landing too.  Maybe the astronauts brought gun control back from the moon.
