My ex sternly warned me tonight that if things do work out in that direction, we'd better wait for anything until after the wedding or she will kick my derrier.

Hey, watch your language, mister.

She actually used the actual three-letter donkey, @$$, I just modified it.

and she calls herself a christian?

Jesus wept.

My ex is a Christian, but sometimes uses "colorful metaphors" as Capt Spock would say.  She's not a perfect little angel by any means.

I come from the land of alternatives to standard expletives.  Things like G.D. or "oh, for criminy sakes" or "oooooh my word!" or more creative ones like "OH JESUS, MARY, AND JOSEPH!" and "JESUS CHRIST ON THE CROSS!!"

But I think the most famous are "Gosh darn it!" or "Gol Darn"

I think my favorite scene ever from Family Guy was when Stewie says "ooh no.. this is going to be worse than the time we had that nympho from Wisconsin living upstairs"
"oooh crap, oooh crap, oh gosh, ooooh gosh, ooooooh crap, oooooooh crap!  CRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAP!!!!"

I really wouldn't worry about marriage at this point. If it is meant to be, then it will come as time goes by. Don't force things. Act natural and be the person you truly are.

You seem like a great guy with a big heart, and I sincerely hope things work out for you. You deserve it.

BREAKING NEWS:

I am finally going to meet Tiffany tonight at 5:30 (2 hours from now) at my ex's house.  I'll eat dinner with them and probably watch a movie and then I'll take her and her son home.

I got myself all cleaned up, all showered, beard shaved, teeth brushed, and decent clothing.  I've also got my car all cleaned out so I can take the two of them home.

I am so excited and a little nervous at the same time.  This could be a meeting tonight that has the potential to drastically change the course of my life.  Even though it will probably only be 3 or 4 hours, it could be big.

Please keep me in your prayers tonight!!

My ex did talk to Tiffany today and told her all my good points and that she thinks we'd a great couple and Tiffany is all for it.  That's a BIG plus when the girl is willing to give it a chance.

LOL. Without her approval, there is no deal!! Smiley

One thing I've learned by looking and observing other relationships is while the man is the head of the household, the woman is the neck that turns the head.  Now tell me who the TRUE boss is, heh?

I just got home from this encounter and WOW!!!  I just want to say she is everything I was hoping for and more.  We hit it off really well tonight.  We swam for a little bit at my ex's house and then she and I and her son went back home.  We ate at a mexican restaurant and then i took her home and I stayed there for over an hour.

I want to utter these four words that are mutual between us that describe our encounter:

LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT!!!

My God answered every request I asked of Him before I left and then some.  She is a good Christian woman, Sunday School teacher, involved on 3 different committees.

We already have several things lined up the next month.  We have our next date this Tuesday, then again this coming Friday.  After I get back from my vacation, we will be heading out to my ex's wedding in Mena, Arkansas (south of Fort Smith) on Friday night, June 26 and will probably return on Sunday, June 28.

Her son is fantastic.  He is a typical four year old boy.  I think he and I will get along really well and he already likes me.  He was not bashful at all towards me when we first met tonight.

Unfortunately, Tiffanye (that's the correct spelling) has a badly sprained ankle from falling down the stairs of her apartment last Tuesday.  She will probably have to have an MRI done on it and possibly surgery, so she was hobbling along with her big black boot on.

I can't sleep this morning.  I guess I am just way too excited about what transpired Sunday night.  I have a peace about this.  I have a peace that I have never felt before in a relationship, not even with my ex.  I cannot think of ANY hiccups.  As Christians, God sometimes gives us a peace that passes all understanding.  I know God is with us.

She is not only a gem of a person on the inside, but she is very beautiful on the outside, as well.

This relationship officially started Sunday, June 7, 2009 at 5:45 pm Central Daylight Time.  It was at that moment when I first laid my eyes on her that I knew my life had just changed.

As you read in my previous post, we had our first mini-date last night, as well.  Like the gentleman that I am I provided door service and picked up the dinner tab.

She already wants me to meet her parents on the Fourth of July weekend.  So, I'm having to scramble to return the favor and think of a way to arrange for her to meet my parents and grandmother.

intermoderate was talking about letting things happen naturally between us.  It was almost like we were already dating before we even met each other for the first time.  It was that natural.  Conversation just flowed naturally after that all through the next four and a half hours until I had to leave at 10:10 so we could both get some sleep for work today.  There was some kind of a spark and I think we're beginning the process of turning that spark into a flame and that flame into a raging fire.

Of course, I won't bore you with every detail that goes on between us as we need to have things kept private between us.  I'll just fill you in as to HOW we are doing, not necessarily WHAT we are doing.

We come from the same land!  My dad doesn't even use words like "fart".  Nobody would dare say something like "Jesus Christ on the cross!" though.  "Jesus" could not be used loudly and in anger.

Well, its kind of hard to take it slow when it was love at first sight, when sparks are flying everywhere, when we have so much in common, when we spend 6-7 hours a night with each other.  We're taking as it comes naturally, which just happens to be stuck in the high gear.  While we are not officially engaged at this point, we have stopped using the phrase "if we get married".  Now, we are using the phrase "when we get married".  We have both agreed that intimacy will wait for marriage, that we will not live together until we're married.  We won't even sleep in the same house until we're married, and if we have to, it will not be the same bed.  We have both said the only thing that will stop us now is if the Lord comes back for his church before then.  We have both committed that divorce is not and will never be an option.

Yep.  Anyway, BushOK- Believe in yourself with this.  Not the Lord.  Not Jesus.  Not God.  My view when it comes to intimacy is just do what's natural.  No need to discuss it with her.  And slow down on the "if were married" stuff unless she's going along with it very well.  I'm very happy for you man.
