What qualifications does Katie Couric have to be president?

I guess journalism is a step up.

You do realize he was governor of California before that, right?

He was a very popular two term governor before that.

Couric has no experience in the government sector, she only reports what's going on on her program. Palin on the other hand is a governor of Alaska.  So I'd go for Palin.

Sarah Palin - 56%, 326 EV
Katie Couric - 44%, 212 EV

I imagine turnout would be around the 35-40% range, with turnout high among only Republicans, conservatives, evangelicals, and Palin-haters. Couric's complete lack of gov't. experience is enough to allow independents and moderates, among whom turnout is especially low, to go for Palin.
