HW, when was I discordial in senate business?  When was I not willing to work with other senators and compromise?

I'm not HW, and I don't have a grudge or anything against ya, but if ye ask then ye shall receive.

DWTL admits to intentionally attempting to trick PPT HappyWarrior into making a mistake:

Great my major point in withdrawing was to confuse HW and have him make a mistake Tongue

In that same thread, DWTL stalls by demanding votes on frivolous amendments:

I propose an amendment to change the title to "Rich People Deserve Their Money Taken Away Act of 2009"

Note, this is a joke I do want this voted upon

On the Senate floor, DWTL attempts to prevent the removal of anti-Semitic language from a bill while openly insulting the man who pointed it out:

Aye on cloture, please don't let Al's rantings continue to influence the senate.  He's finally where he belongs, in a little corner going mad and obsessing about me

DWTL argues that he's better fit to be PPT because he's more popular:

No the thing is I get along quite well with most RPPers, to my knowledge only you and a few hard core people have a problem with me.
Continue to throw your labels but the fact is there are plenty of people who disapprove of your job as senator.  I'm going to sit here and tell you my approval is 100% either, but the fact that I can acknowledge that not everyone approves of the job I am doing shows I am more apt to become PPT

DWTL assumes that the Senate will go down the drain just because he wasn't elected PPT:

Say hello to two months of an inactive senate

Senator DWTL has kind words to say on the Senate floor:

The former senator and current Holocaust lover stated that the bill simply could not be passed because I was the sponsor, something he echoed during this current debate as well.

DWTL has nice things to say about a fellow Senator during a debate:

Due to the overwhemingly left-tilt of Atlasia, that would be stupid we would obviously lose.  That is why PR is so great, no matter how much Jas kicks and screams conservatives still have a voice

DWTL has outstanding etiquette on the Senate floor:

I have a lot of sense, including the common sense to know when something is a game.  I just don't have my head lodged ten feet up my ass

Some more debate impropriety:

Nay, why have a senate and debate if every bill is just tabled when it doesn't fit with the European liberal agenda?

I think that you'd find that you'd have less of a problem with this sort of thing if you kept your virtual mouth shut.
Nah dude, its called an internet game its people that take everything I say so seriously that are the problem.  Maybe take a chill pill or something, maybe some heroin if its every legalized

All found after a brief skim of old Senate threads.

Not one of those things shows I was unwilling to work with senators or compromise, in fact most of that (including all of the statements about Jas and Al) were born out of their unwillingness to compromise.  Statements like "is every bill just tabled if it does not fit the European agenda"?  Why do you not pull statements from the latest senate when Al was not there and compromise was rampant?

I know that you can at times be remarkably eager to compromise and build consensus, and when you remain cordial you've been a great Senator to work with. Your earlier question, however, directly asked for examples of your alleged negative behavior in the Senate, which I provided. At times you can be very hard-headed and downright caustic, and I believe my earlier quotations aptly demonstrate occasions when you have been "discordial" and unwilling to compromise.

I wholeheartedly disagree, if you read the context of the quotes toward Al, they are all because bills have come up and rather than working a compromise, he, Jas, and others voted to immediatley table them.  They were the ones unwilling to compromise and I was not going to stand for it silently.  The frivilous amendment I wanted to be voted on was because of other amendments of the same nature that had destroyed perfectly workable bills in the past.  As far as the PPT battle with HW, I still think that I was not wrong to assume my entire party would vote for me and I was looking to getting business underway.  MJ took it as an act of arrogance, but I meant it as an act of moving forward.  I truly believe HW was not the best man for the job and I think to a point I was vindicated.

I think if I had no made this comment and would have just sat back and let bills that my constituents asked me to introduce be shot down a few loud voices who got to throw insults around left and right because of some level of respect that others had for them, that, in my opinion, would have been being a bad senator.

Atlasia will always remain afloat as look as you stay locked up.  Haven't you realized by now that no one is anything but elated than you are banned?  Is it probably the one thing that has united Atlasian more than any other.  I don't care how smart you think you are, everyone is always one step ahead of you.  Don't think for a second I don't know about your last little ploy

Wow, your contributions since your ban expired makes me wonder why anyone ever feared your return. No one here respects you or cares about your antics any longer and your ignorance of this truth is stunning. The man behind the curtain has been exposed and he leads a sad, frail existence.

Well, of course I'm less fun in the flesh than when I was manipulating Atlasia. I couldn't remain a god forever, could I?

Actually, everyone agreed that I should be freed, and there was considerable dissension at the time of my ban.

But, actually, I have no idea what this last little ploy is. Care to enlighten me?

I have been reluctant to make any public endorsement in the last couple of days for several reasons. I respect both main candidates in this national election, and I wouldn't have a problem with having either one in the Senate.

At this point, however, I am formally offering my support to former Senator DWTL. From my experience in the Senate working with him....I know that, despite his rhetoric and annoying tactics sometimes (Wink), he is willing to work with his fellow senators and find reasonable compromises on many issues.

That said, my main reason for supporting DWTL lies in economic issues. I am a strong supporter of free trade, and many of these agreements are about to be on the floor of the Senate. I'm obviously no where near to DWTL's libertarian economics in general, but I hope that DWTL will work with me on other economic issues as well. I believe he will, as evidenced by our mutual work, for example, on the Help Atlasia Study Act. After making the legislation more friendly to regions and allowing them to determine the exact distribution of the education funding, DWTL did vote in favor, and I ultimately feel that that amendment to the legislation was superior to the original plan, so I'm grateful for that initial dispute.

Now that we have a clearly left leaning President, I think it's important to maintain a healthy balance of power between the legislative and executive branches of government, and I value our current Senate's ability to override potential vetoes on certain issues that enjoy widespread popular support.

None of this should be taken as an attack on Fritz or his political views. I am very confident that Fritz would also be an excellent senator that would serve Atlasia well. I respect him and wish him the best of luck in this and future races. My support of his opponent should only be interpreted as a single decision based on a variety of circumstances (political balance, etc.) outside of Fritz's control. Should Fritz be elected, I would also happily work together with him and my other fellow senators to serve Atlasia.

So now, after having said what I believe to be important right now, I endorse DWTL for Senate.
