Who do you think would be each party's nominee of the nominees were based off the method used in 1968. For example, about 10 or 11 primaries would be held but they wouldn't select most delegates to the convention; a candidate could win the nomination without competing in the primaries (i.e. Humphrey).

If the parties used this method, I'd put my money on Giuliani and Hillary. What do you think?

Hillary and Romney. Giuliani would be too liberal for the party "bosses", primarily due to his views on social issues.

I agree, but GOP bosses would probably look to the most electable candidate in what was already proving to be an anti-GOP year.

Hillary Clinton clinches the democratic nomination. For republicans, Romney or Giuliani.
