Google has created easy to use charts on U.S. population and employment from public-use data from the U.S. Census Bureau and the Bureau of Labor Statistics.  Instructions of how to use this data can be found here at  http://www.google.com/support/websearch/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=144522.

I created these 3 sets.

Unemployment in 3 Southern California Counties.

Population Growth in 8 Midwestern States.

Unemployment in 5 Central California Counties, relative to California's rate.
