I usually only do these polls for movies that have me pretty excited (like TDK and Watchmen). Well, with 100% on RT so far, this one officially has me excited. I'll be at a 9:50 showing on Thursday night.

Friday.  The Mrs. is taking the day off work to fool around with me and see a movie.

(I think by "fool around" she means "plant geraniums" or "clean out the garage".  Just a guess.)

I could make a very crude joke here. But I respect you too much for that Smiley

I'll see the film when I can. I've always preferred Star Trek over Star Wars (which I find very dull) though I was never a geek about it.

I want to see how Simon Pegg's (who plays Scotty) accent turns out. His Glaswegian wife has given him lessons. I'll be watching with the score cards Grin

I'll see it if my dad wants to see it and takes me with him Tongue  Otherwise, I probably won't.

Crude?  You, Andrew?  Heaven forfend!

Although being married 20 years now, I am sure the cob webs in our garage are probably nothing compared to the ones in my pants!  (There -- I made it for you!)

My Uncle had the TV series Star Trek spaceship in his office. There was a switch that you could turn out, that would make a bunch of lights blink through the ship windows.  It was about maybe two feet across.

And there you have it!  Smiley

Probably DVD. I have enough patience that it's worth it to me to save the money. Smiley

When it hits the cheap theater, unless I'm with someone else who wants to see it.

On Thursday night Aussie time, about 14 hours before those of you in North America have the chance to.  Wink

It looks like this could be the best reviewed movie of the year.

DVD sometime ...what..this winter probably?  It's possible the wife will get a bug up her ass to see it in the theatre...but odds would be against that.

Next week I may go.  I am not a big fan but the pre views look really cool.  Lots of action.

Opening weekend

It's funny, since the first couple of commercials I saw (kid driving off a cliff) made the movie look unbelievably terrible, but I'm excited for it now.

That guy White is just a troll. He hated TDK and The Wrestler but he loved Chronicles of Riddick!

I'm surprised that Roger Ebert didn't dig it though.

I won't.  Not only am I not interested in the slightest bit, I would really rather not experience the embarrassment of being in the same group as Trekkies.

Come now Fezzy, we all have our embarrassing interests. Tongue

I'm reminded of some guy who reportedly gave bad reviews to The Dark Knight, Milk, The Wrestler, The Reader, Doubt, Benjamin Button, Rachel Getting Married, Frost/Nixon, Revolutionary Road, Australia and Slumdog Millionaire but also called Transporter 3 "The #1 movie you must watch this summer."*

Seriously. Guess trolls can be critics too.

*Yes, a lot of the movies mentioned did suck and probably were less enjoyable than Transporter 3, but the point is still pretty obvious.
