and Lisa Madigan will win whatever primary she chooses:

http://www.publicpolicypolling.com/pdf/PPP_Release_IL_429.pdf

Senate:

Burris - 20
Giannoulias - 49

Burris - 16
Giannoulias - 38
Schakowsky - 26

Burris - 13
Giannoulias - 19
Schakowsky - 11
Madigan - 44

Governor:

Madigan - 45
Quinn - 29

The concern that Burris could squeak by as the only African-American candidate doesn't seem to be panning out, as his support among black voters actually goes down in the 3 and 4-way polling compared to a head-to-head with Alexi.

I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss Burris' chances yet--especially in a race where there are several white candidates running against him.
Poll numbers now, while interesting really don't mean a whole lot.  I would venture that 99% of people are not following politics like the people on this forum.
If Burris continues in the race, I expect him to get a pretty high percentage of the AA vote in Chicago which would translate to about 22-24% of the statewide vote.  He may squeak through the primary yet.

The main two candidates in play now are Jan and Alexis.  I don't AA will pay any attention to Burris now and must decided between the two.  I think the AA will not throw away their vote and will be the swing vote in the primary.  I think unless a Meeks figure either Meeks or Jesse Jackson Jr gets in those will be the choices.

As of right now, I would vote for Giannoulias in the Democratic primary, and I would feel comfortable supporting him in the general election.

There's a big chance, however, that I would vote for Mark Kirk against either Schakowsky or Burris (assuming Kirk does get into the race).

If it turns into one of those two DEMs against some generic Republican, then I have no idea what I'd do.
