I am 27 years old, today!!  I was born at 8:12 pm CDT on Thursday, April 29, 1982.  So, the government considers me 27 years and 10 hours old, but I have been alive just 10 hours shy of 27 years, officially!!

On my facebook page, I've already had Phil wish me a happy birthday which I greatly appreciate!!

Congratulations!  The only thing you need now is something to blow on.

I did blow on some candles last night.  There weren't 27 candles but there was a 2 candle and a 7 candle and it only took me two puffs of air to get the flames out!!

From the Book of Common Prayer...

God, our times are in your hand: Look with favor, we pray, on your servant as he begins another year. Grant that he may grow in wisdom and grace, and strengthen his trust in your goodness all the days of his life; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Happy Birthday, bro!

Good. I assume "buttermilk" means "buttercream" instead of that "bettercream" whipped cream nonsense.

This is a prime example of BushOklahoma's strange attention to the most precise details. I don't even know the exact time I was born, and in fact don't even know if it was morning or evening or whatever.

Oh, and happy birthday!

I knew my exact time of birth. I used to "celebrate" it in grade school during lunch - 12:14 PM.

Actually now that I think of it it would have to be early morning. I remember a voicemail my mom gave me on my last birthday about how 25 years ago she was laying high on drugs after her C-section about 5 hours earlier. I got that voicemail before I went into work.

But I still don't know the exact time, or any other details.

I really appreciate all the kind wishes.  Yesterday was a very special day for me and inspite of its quirks, this Atlas forum is a real special place full of special people.  This is truly a place where I can come and be free to express my TRUE political leanings.  Outside of this forum, I am either forced to pretend to be a staunch Obama-hating conservative or just keep silent.  I do the latter more often.  That's more of the reason for my wish to move to Kansas.  Even though Kansas is a conservative state, I would be more free to express my true feelings without it getting back to my family.  Don't get me wrong, I love my family to death and wouldn't trade them for the world, and I agree with the basics of their philosophy, but I am decidedly more liberal than they are (much to their dismay and bewilderment).

No offense...but why are you forced to do anything? It seems like, even in Oklahoma, you should be able to express your opinion without being afraid.

(BTW, happy birthday! Wink)

Its mainly out of respect and not wanting to offend them.  They already know I voted for Obama and Andrew Rice, and Mom and Dad know I'm a Democrat.  I think Grandma and my church family still think I'm a Republican even though its been nearly 3 years since I switched parties.  The good thing is they don't have to know.  Its my right to keep it a secret.  Plus, while I have my own view, I'm not offended in the least by their views, since in the first half of this decade, I was a staunch conservative, myself, and shared their views almost completely.  I can express my political views to my mother easier simply because she is my mother and listens like a mother.  She doesn't agree with them (though she does like Hillary Clinton), and she doesn't have to.  I'm just thankful that she listens.

Oh, and thank you for the kind wish!!
