That's a weird accent, he seems to be trying to put on a rural Canadian accent and a Texas cowboy one at the same time.

No - Nelson, in  the BC Interior.
That is very close to me. Whenever I go up there once every 2 or 3 years they definitley do not sound like that.

Canadian accents annoy me.  Well, kinda... especially the way they pronounce "been"... I'm sorry.. it's bin or ben... not bean. 

When in a foreign country.. the conversation always goes like this:

"Are you from America?"

"no... I'm not from 'the States'... I'm from Canada."

"I've only ever "bean" to the states once... I spent ten DOE-lers going oot and aboot on the town, eh.  But yeah, I'm not from the States.  Did you know that in Canada we say 'grade 6' instead of 6th grade?  Yes.. just one of the many defining differences between the States and Canada... where I'm from because I'm not from the States."
