Alright, I say we step it up and keep a running vote on intiatives.  We can make anything an "emergency" and vote in 24 hours.

The first thing I'd like to do is figure out what to do with our money from the "Help Atlasia Study Act"

How about the Dirty South gives the education funds to the Atlasian Security Services military academy?

Warmongering and militarism is clearly superior to a decent, secular, civilian education system.

Since they tied in December & were never put up for a revote, I'll reintroduce these:

Freedom of Currency Amendment

1. Article I, Section XII, shall be added to read the following:
a. The government of the Dirty South shall gradually take Atlasian dollars out of circulation within the Dirty South.
b. The government of the Dirty South shall circulate currency called "dixies," which can be exchangable for a pegged amount of gold at any time.
c. Section 2 will be enforced on a purely voluntary basis, and no legal tender laws will be used to force businesses to accept dixies as currency.

Dirty South Capital Relocation Act

1. Effective immediately following the passage of this law by the votes of the region's citizens, the capitol city of the Dirty South will be relocated from Memphis, Tennessee to Charleston, South Carolina, and the funds for building a Governor's Plantation will be up for debate.

I think that given what's happening IRL in Montana and Georgia, the Freedom of Currency Act may be more important than ever.

The Freedom of Currency Amendment is unconstitutional.

If an initiative tied, I believe it is suppose to go on the following months ballot automatically.

We should create a regional based needle exchange program.

That's what I thought as well. It didn't though, so I'm putting it back on the ballot now.

I strongly believe the Dirty South should consider creating some sort of assembly, as other regions have done. It's the best way to increase participation without having to create periodic crises.

Agreed. Without a system like that of the Pacific or the Mideast (or maybe a third alternative) there is simply no way to maintain a high level of activity without a constant stream of crisis.

I'm confused.  Why do conservatives support needle exchange now?

To protect families. Mind you, it has to be a genuine exchange programme, not a "free needles for all and sundry" programme. If people have to dispose of their used syringes in a needle bin at a pharmacy in order to receive a fresh syringe (for free) it means less used needles will be discarded in public places, thereby protecting the community generally.

We should probably also be discussing those retractable needles as the ones that are dispensed by the pharmacists under this programme.

Governor, can you deem these all as emergencies and bring them up for a vote?
