Alcon = non-believer. That sweeps me the South. He wins Utah big though because of what I say about Mormons. I'd give him higher in Utah but I realize the non-Mormons there probably hate Mormons as much as I do.

I guarantee a third party entrant into the race.  BRTD is too liberal for any group of conservatives, especially in the South, to get behind.  Religious, or not.  Alcon, if he is not a person of faith, would suffer from the stupid bigotry so many people have against secularists and Atheists.

I think what happens here is -- Phil or Naso jump into the race as God's candidate and trounce the both of you.

Me?  I'd probably vote for BRTD because I like his liberalism.  But I could vote for Al, too.  I think he's a great guy.  (Phil and Mike are good guys too -- just slightly to the right of Mussolini.  J/K guys...)

probably something in between.  I doubt he talks about forcibly shaving kids' heads but I'm sure some of his eccentricities would find their way into the dialogue.

No, and of course some religious fundamentalists would automatically vote for the religious candidate. But the idea that even a very decent percentage much less a majority would vote for the candidate they agreed with far less on the issues just because of religious affiliation is a bit ridiculous.

Obviously Alcon could never win the GOP nomination, and if he somehow did, a third party candidate on the right would emerge, so it's a moot point.

Lets get something straight, the difference between Alcon and BRTD are primarily cosmetic.

BRTD is colorful (gave up counting the number of different monikers), whereas Alcon is merely a dissembler.

I prefer the honest and entertaining to the drab and deceitful.

Why would they care? The Democratic Party of Albert Lea, MN actually nominated a strip club OWNER as one of their City Council candidates. And he won!
