England and France's moves confuse me greatly.  But it's better to be confused than not, from glancing at them?

I shall ponder.

Also: Is Austria acting unnecessarily tricky or just tricky enough?  At a glance, it looks like it'll be a complicated set of moves down there next turn.  Not sure why Italy is moving South so forcefully.

The English moves look like a standing offer of support. However, France was wise not to take the offer this turn. It's true that the move Bur-Bel would succeed, but a retreat Bel-Pic would leave Par unguarded in the Fall.

I have some theories about the Mediterranean situation, but I'll hold my counsel for now.

I'm leaving for Indonesia on the 16th of next month by the way.  I'll have access to computers, but I don't know HOW much access.

Gustaf, as someone who has been actually stabbed, I'd call taking one province with no other troop movements more like a prick Smiley [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Double_entendre]

The other turned out to be an irrelevant support move [much like my attempt to support Vie-> Gal].

Turkey and Austria collaborating against Russia?

This is scandalous.

I see everyone wanted France in Belgium except France. Smiley

Yes, having seen Germany's support order to Belgium, I was surprised and re-read your orders to check I wasn't mistaken.

Following the English retreat to Edinburgh and the Russian retreat to the Ukraine, the map appears thus:

:hangs head in shame:
As the leader of France I'm going to do what all great leaders of France do...no, not surrender you racists!  Sheesh.  No, I'm going to blame the Generals in the field.  As of now the Army General of the 1st Régiment de Spahis is to be given a Court Martial by a Kangaroo in a robe.  He is to be replaced by Jerry Lewis and given the rank of Field Marshall Lewis.

I must also send my apologies to all those that attended the "Welcome Back France" party that was thrown in Antwerp yesterday.

England outsmarted me in York and Russia lied to me in, well, Russia.  I was going to go for Edinburgh, but I frankly didn't have the balls for that type of move from the beginning.  Gustaf has me amazingly pegged.  I'm impressed more than anything.

I expected both for over a week Smiley, funny Russia's position being betrayed by her friends and then relying on them immediately following.  Probably the right move, since nothing else would have worked.  We'll see how that plays out following.

I'll retreat to StP
